I take it this doesnt take whole fruit?
I don't believe it will, but there again you would probabaly expect to pay a much higher price for one that does

Also, and I may be wrong about this because I only joined Quidco today, but I believe you can get an extra 3% by going though them?

Hi gary :) It says in the description that it has a Wide 65mm chute for whole apples, so it probably does.

Good deal Amibees - great price, for a juicer! :)
its the same as the argos one and its naff, the pulp collector does not collect the pulp, instead it collects at the back of the lid and the pulp is still wet so it sticks, its a devil to clean, we bought one, used it half a dozen times then freecycled it...

on the plus side lots of juicers have this problem so its a design flaw in many juicers...and the juice you get to drink is well nice.
Why don't you just eat the fruit? It's better for you. But a hot offer anyway considering the price difference.

Untrue in at least some ways. We lack cellulase enzymes so are unable to break down plant cell walls properly. Much of the benefit of plant material remains trapped within the cells and is passed. A juicer's job is to break open the cells and get the good stuff out. More than would be extracted just by chewing. Sure, the other plant stuff is good so a nice mix is what you want. Additionally - try eating wheat grass.

I'm not much of a juicer myself but if you're really keen I'm told a masticating juicer is the way to go. These centrifugal ones have a blade which spins at high speed and which gets a lot of air into the juice. This leads to oxidation and a loss of nutritional value. As such you've really got to drink the juice fast - don't leave it sitting around for days oxidising further.
It is a little fiddly to clean so no I wouldnt use it everyday but I am pleased with mine (got it for the same price ages ago).

Mine collects the pulp no probs and my 2 year old son loves chucking the fruit into it. (who needs all their fingers anyway!)

I'm not much of a juicer myself .....

Glad to hear it!

(that has other meanings...... :whistling::w00t::-D)
Bought a similar model recently. "whole fruit" is somewhat of an illusion - shredding whole apples leaves you with a bitter taste of the juice and lots of froth on top - I would not recommend it. If you prepare the fruit then the fresh juice tastes very nice but the work and mess involved are a real downside (genuine potential to end up in a cupboard after being used twice)
I used to have one of these many years ago! It does take whole fruit! It's brilliant! Looking to purchase another one very soon!
