Sadly the price has now gone up from £9.99 to £23.99...

Regular Price: £24.99 - Special Price: £23.99

The Joby Gorillapod SLR Tripod has flexible joints that can bend and rotate 360 degrees allowing your camera to be secured in any position to just about anything.

looks cheap if its genuine joby

Good price for a genuine joby slr pod. Mind you it can only hold up to 800grams which is really an SLR with small lens. I got a clone from the bay for under a tenner and it can hold up to 3kg. I tested earlier today with a ballhead I received from Redsnapper yesterday.

Just weighed my Sony A200 with telephoto and thats over 1.1kg and my A580 with 55mm zoom (small lens) is still over 900grams so this might be pushing it. Although I might buy one to use for a wireless flash.

If you think your camera is too heavy for the Gorillapod, then don't use it because the sections on the legs are all snap together to the next one and under heavy load can pop apart unexpectedly. Mind you the Gorilla was the only way to get this shot from the top of New Zealand House in London. The railing was too high for a standard tripod and I managed to find a surface that fit the unique capabilities of the GorillaPod.

I hate the stores that do this. Drop prices till it gets noticed then ramp um back up. Play does the same. :p

If you're buying one for a flash you might as well get a standard joby which is around about a tenner.

However, with your current setup have a look on the big auction site for alternatives. My setup is below:
