Voting cold because it's not the cheapest. :)

Ditto. People should use find-dvd before posting deals!

It's because of people like this thatI don't post as much as I'd like to about new deals I find. There's always someone ready to jump on and try and flame the OP.

For example, let's look at the previous poster's logic here shall we. You bought it for £5 in January. Well unless that deal stands today (July), which it doesn't, why the f**k is the deal cold???? £7.98 is a good deal - today, although it can be found 1p dearer, but with free shipping elsewhere (HMV). There is absolutely no reason to vote cold because you bought it for £5 over 7 months ago. It would be a different story if that deal still stood today, but it doesn't.

Can't we use a little bit of common sense? The OP found a deal that he/she wanted to share. Give the OP a little bit of credit if not for the reason that we've now found out about the HMV deal.

Rant over.

Ok, maybe voting cold because of January's price is a bit off, but read the other posts in this thread, it's not a good deal for today because you can get it cheaper at HMV

Only cheaper if free delivery & Quidco used....

Otherwise its not cheapest....technically

just saying

And even then it's only 1p cheaper, and therefore not worth posting a deal about - unless you make it about both retailers.

I agree it's daft to vote cold because you saw it in a shop cheaper 6 months ago though. I do sometimes point out if a deal has been posted cheaper elsewhere on here in the past - as I think it gives some context of what the product might be worth.

Don't fear them...there's always someone watching and waiting to trounce you, they dont much else in their lives it seems so post away, the more posts the better i think, like the deal posted yesterday for the ipod classic it got freezing cold, it had the usual grumps ranting away but the thing about that is that someone was there to find and point u in the direction of a better deal.
#12
Do your research, post a decent deal, and us grumps will have nothing to rant about. ;-)

Nice edit.

So what if we've now found out about the HMV deal. Should I just go to one site and start reeling off their entire catalogue, invite people to find cheaper deals and then expect the credit? No, that's not how this site works mate, sorry.

You've proved my point exactly. Why bothering posting on here at all. Unless you're absolutely certain that you have found a deal that is the cheapest price (factoring in postage, discounts, etc) in the whole universe you're bound to get comments like the ones experienced in this thread. That's so unrealistic! Instead of thanking the OP for bringing attention to a potential deal or two, inadvertently or not, he/she is subjecting themselves to the inevitable flaming from the other so-called "senior" members. Do you honestly believe this encourages people to actually post new deals. I bet the OP wishes he had never even posted this "cold" deal. Realistically the worst thing that can even come out of this is that other user's are made aware of 2 deals for the same product. In fact the amazon deal is cheaper if you have another purchase and spend over 15 quid to get free shipping. I just can not fathom why this is such a bad thing and why the OP and deal has been virtually ****** on?

I bet the OP thinks nothing of the sort. I'm sure the OP is mature enough to see that it's not the best price, and take the constructive criticism on board for the next time they have a deal to share. Read the thread again, please point out to me how the OP has been ****** on. Where's the flaming? A cold vote and better information is NOT a personal attack! I don't hear the OP whining about it, only you.
