Not sure how good the price is, but can recommend the kit. Educational and my kids used it repeatedly for years!

I agree - my 9 year old loves it too.

Got this from Tesco a few months ago using Clubcard boost - was struggling to find something my (then) 9 year old son would like that didnt involve computers :D
He has played with it daily ever since he's had it and enjoyed following the instructions as well as making his own circuits

My sons only 6, but he's quite advanced, hope he gets it. He was telling me the other day how to make a lightbulb work, so this looks right up his street

I still had my bespoke £5 for a £10 gift voucher so got it for £25 ! Thanks OP

I had fantastic customer service earlier this year. My son had lost the instructions for a kit and wasn't available on their downloads . I emailed them and within a couple of days a brand new instruction Manual arrived in post. No charge. We have a different one of their kits with resistors etc. Son learnt a great deal about physics whilst having fun. Great quality.

Ordered for my son, I was going to buy it a couple of days ago at around £45 but thought he might be a bit young for it, however at this price I had to buy it and we'll see how he gets on :p Thanks for posting!

Hot!

Ordered this and 2 x natural history microscope @ £6.66 each. Total is £43.31. Then used Mastercard to pay plus code PRICELES5 at checkout to get £5 off order. (£38.31)

also had a £5 off £10 spend voucher (I got for buying £20 gift voucher) and paid the remaining £33.31 using bespoke vouchers. Total to pay for me in the end was £16.655.

I just set kids up with a real hot wire and a load of polystyrene. Very cheap fun. Also quieter because the fumes make them unconscious soon enough. Silent Night indeed.

Im so happy this has come on my boy wanted this but was just too expensive at 45. Just purchased at 29.99...thankyou xxx

My daughter wanted this but at the time it was £39.99 so I bought Snap Circuits instead at £19.99. Exact same toy but just a different name
#25
Bought last year for my then 6 year old daughter it is still played with and well worth the money. This is a great price,

Bought this a couple of years back, very good overall. The flying propeller is the favourite build.
There's a few of the circuit diagrams wrong in our book- I'm sure it's been reprinted by now, but John Adams have pdf's of the corrected circuits if it hasn't.

Although there's a lot of projects in the book there's not many things to build that are actually of interest in themselves, especially for young ones- a lot of the projects are more targeted at learning the effect of changing a component, or learning basic electronics theory- although having said that there's no theory in the booklet, just the circuits to build.

A few more quid off with flubit too.
#28
Note that one of the components is an electrolytic capacitor, make sure the kids know that it MUST be used the right way round, otherwise, they'll get a pretty nasty surprise if it goes pop.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Elenco-MX907-200-Electronic-Project/dp/B0002AHR04

this is the kit i had as a kid and it was amazing its quite expensive at £70 but the projects are brilliant.

elenco also do a 500 in 1 kit but i cant justify £175 but they really teach you about electronics etc

My 5 year old will be thrilled with this. I will also be happy to assist him! I genuinely love toys with such educational value, especially ones that kids actually want to play with!

I see it's still £45 on Argos and that is with a 10% discount, so this is a fabulous price.

Thanks OP!

good spot op, got this 2 year ago for my then 6 y/o daughter, she absolutely loves it, the flying saucer one is easy even for 5 year olds, but all the circuits are well documented and pretty simple to follow, she/we have since moved on to arduino projects
#32
Thanks OP.
Didn't see this when posted so I'm glad it went hot.

I got this kit when I was a kid in the seventies: http://searle.hostei.com/grant/ElectronicKits/RadionicX40Box.jpg

I went on to study electronics and have had a career in engineering ever since. I can't thank my grandparents for getting me that present because they aren't around anymore though they did see me starting out at work.

Their gift to me was an interest in a subject that has made me a living ever since. ;)

This looks like a great deal.

Good price, ordered. Thanks.

Was planning to order the snap circuits, but this one has FM radio too!
#35
Somebody mentioned flubit so i tried them and they offered it to me for £27 inc postage from someone called Fireworks ltd. I had already ordered from Amazon though. :{

I bought the deal and have had a surprising amount of interest from my 7yr old it actually coaxed him away from mine craft for hours every day so far. By far the best present i have bought him so far although my 6yr old would rather watch Tom and Jerry. Thanks OP for bringing this to my attention. :{
