No I don't think so, you would need at 3.5mm jack at one end to connect you're ipod

Um, it says in the description. Connect your dvd player to your 5.1 amp for example via the coax connection assuming your player and amp have the required input and output. You could also use it to connect a sub woofer to an amp via phono to phono.

This is the type of cable you need for that. 3.5mm to RCA cable.

Providing you have an Aux input port on your stereo of course.

Thanks for that link, it allowed me to bounce to a 3.5 to 3.5 I'd been looking for to connect my ipod into my car.

ANY 1.5m phono lead will work fine to connect a digital audio source to a destination.

LOL @ "digital" - the signal you feed into it can be digital, but a wire's a bloody wire! Any phono to phono will work.

You just wait till the audiophiles get here... :p

Hot from me!

I think it might be a cock up in JL, the guy who sold me mine today was quite shocked. The box says £10, the shelf edge ticket says £1.50 reduced to £1.45.
#23
Anyone know if this is 75ohm?

The phono plugs at each end certainly won't be... and I wouldn't worry about the cable in between if you're thinking of putting standard def. video down it.

It's sad to hear that John Lewis is in the rip-off cable game too. The shocking price is the £10, not the £1.50.
