I have one of these and it's good. The coffee doesn't come out as hot as I personally like it (but maybe that's the way it's supposed to be) but a minute in the microwave sorts that out. Be aware that it comes with a bright red lead and plug (on all colour schemes of this model) which might not be to the liking of everybody. Not something that caused me any problems. You will also find a £10 voucher in the box which you can use against your first order online at the Dolce Gusto shop. You might also be interested in these if you want to experiment with your own coffee blends http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151310771742?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&var=450443694960&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Ditto in every respect, I put a shot of hot water through to warm the cup it before each drink

Does anyone know how portion sizes compare to that of the Tassimo Lattes?
#8
I got one of these for the same price from curry's on black Friday. Its great. i have the black and white model and mine came with a black lead and plug.

The coffee comes through hot for me, but obviously stays hot longer if you warm the glass or mug first.

I recommended getting the espresso or lungo pods and heating your own milk in the microwave. you get 16 drinks for £3.30 then and the cup is already warmed.

Money wise it's the same portions however tassimo gives slightly more cup full in lattes

You may get slightly more in a tassimo drink but it's a much lower quality. Check th ingredients for the latte from tassimo... You will find yummy E numbers and salt in there!

Same here not as hot as i like it to be. The only person who likes it is me so that saves money.
The red plug is a shock no doubt , it does look odd but you get use to seeing it

which latte as there are at least four varieties that spring to mind. I do disagree about your observation on quality though.

Tassimo makes a hotter drink, Dolce Gusto pods are cheaper (at full retail prices) so it's swings and roundabouts IMO....

we bought the genuine dolce gusto travel mugs to get round the measuring issue on our krupps non-automatic one as they have a transparent measuring scale on to show how much liquid from each pod has been dispensed, so its a doddle to get it dead on.
#14
Fabulous little machine, I've owned the automatic version for over an year now and can't fault it. For those complaining coffee isn't as hot as they'd like it, coffee isn't meant to be served boiling hot and if you don't believe me google it. To remedy it rinse the cup out with hot water first before placing pod in.

Just ordered. For those who have this, can I use the pods above with our own cofee and hot chocolate powder? Or does one need specific hot chocolate or coffee powder to go with those as others may clog it? Then again what would be the point of those pods then lol.

Any help appreciated.

Ordered 4 over Xmas and then 2 more just now.

haha I love my coffee but to have one in each room including bathroom would be a tad overkill wouldn't you agree.
#17
I never knew a reuseable pod existed for the Gusto in which one can fill their own coffee. Gonna order one and if it's a load of bollix will be ending up in the trash can.
#18
In second thoughts no I won't be ordering one after all, it's a gimmick. Claims to make 50 drinks for nearly 8 quid, however I can buy 48 proper Gusto coffee pods for a tenner - screw that!

Woah, where from? Also can you get the hot chocolate ones at a cheap price? as I hardly ever drink coffee.
#20
Amazon - 3 boxes of 16 (48) delivered to your door for free, also Asda do 3 boxes for a tenner on promo at times.

Sorry can't help regarding chocolate. That said I did buy a box of chocolate drinks for the Gusto once which each drink consisting of 2 pods but they lay in the cupboard unopened for so long I ended up binning them.

Aha thank you. A question, can tassimo and other pods also be used in these machines? or are ll pods exclusive to their specific makes?

amazon subscribe and save program is the best place by a fair margin.

The going price on amazon is 9.99 for 3 boxes (so 48 drinks for varieties not requiring a milk pod). But if you buy them on subscribe and save (ie. order them to be delivered every month or every 2 months) you get 5% discount which increases to 15% discount if you have 5 products on your S&S. I get my delivery every 2 months, works out at £8.49 for each set of 3 boxes.

Anyone have the link for the Amazon deal? Thanks.

Been thinking about buying a coffee machine for a while. Never had one before. And this is a good price with great reviews.
Can someone provide the link for the Amazon deal please as I've searched on Amazon and cannot find it. Thanks.

One of the reviews says it came with 4 pods to give you a sample, no idea what flavour or if they're different

Thank you. Just ordered one now and signed up for the 30 day Prime trial for Tuesday delivery. Used the gift certificates I had from the Bespoke offers. Looking forward to receiving it now. Now trying to decide which pods to buy and whether to buy a pod rack.

Microwaving coffee burns it... it is not supposed to be piping hot... just a drinkable temperature :)

Any idea how many days John Lewis will hold the product if we order it to collect from store?
