many thanks op, just reserved one for collection :)

Anyone know how these might be packaged? Does it come just as it looks, or is it in a box? I'm curious how it will be like carrying this home.
#7
get in... great deal. heat added
#8
sorry for being a D'oh but is it real or false?

I think a pine tree will be made from....PINE! X)
#10
My wife doesn't think these are real?
#11
I wondered if they were real too .... since the site doesn't say it's artificial, I'd guess it's probably real. If you are collecting in store you could always get a refund right then if it's fake and you wanted a real one.
#12
This one also says 'pine tree', but I'm pretty sure this one isn't real... is it?

The verdict is in...

REAL!!
#16
hey guys! are these living trees?
#17
Pretty sure John Lewis do not sell real tree's

At 2 ft these are excellent value and will have one either side of the fireplace - if they are real I will plant in the garden and dig up next year !

I wonder if they come with a Heston Orange In The Middle Pud !

etc etc added

:O)

Real according to John Lewis customer service line.
#19
beat me to it, just got one from JL newcastle, not many left.

so will this keep growing bigger if you plant it in the garden
#21
Bear in mind it's piggin' 2 foot tall though!

Its not how big it is that counts, its what you do with it.
#23
From the picture posted by sjm85 I presume tree is in fact fake and not real as suggested earlier?

Since you have one, can you tell me if this would make something nice to set on a table? Not as a centerpiece during dinner of course, but as a nice decorative item that's not too imposing? Don't think I'll put up our artificial tree this year as we've added a new bookcase where we used to put the tree, but would like something as a Christmasy focal point. Otherwise I was going to get a poinsettia or one of those small potted decorated trees from Homebase.
#25
2ft is a bit of an awkward size, too small for the floor but too big for the table. Perhaps it needs some sort of rope and pulley system to keep it half way between the two..
#26
Great deal, just ordered two! Thanks. X)
#27
I wonder what the Eat By Date is on these ?
#28
This looks really good for an artificial tree. I might get one!

How many times?

These trees are 'REAL'.

They are ARTIFICIAL.

Just been to collect my order, and asked for a refund instead.

They are cheap and nasty. They do a much nicer, larger tree for £12.

Just been to collect mine. Disappointing. Cheap nasty artificial sad looking excuse for a tree.
#34
Mine turned up squashed into a too-small box, and were actually plastic. Grrr.

JL have refunded the cost (inc postage).
#35
Yep is is a false tree - just what I wanted and no problems having to plant outdoors !

Yes it does need some "teasing" to get it into a good shape but does not take long

Good deal in my eyes !
#36
Yuck mine arrived -awful tacky NOT real -taking them both back tomorrow what a pain
