One thing is since this latest price drop they have removed the £100 off certain soundbars bundle. Won't matter to most but I'm hoping to snag a HDMI / wireless one of those as well.

Well worth the extra £100 if your living room can handle it but mine cnt...:(.....
And i am already worried as to what a 55" will do to an sd program....even 49" is pushing it

Ordered the Samsung -ue55ku6020 earlier but now thinking should I pay the extra £400 for this

I have compared them both billabong and its deffo worth the extra cash for the few years that you will keep the tv...trust me....this is the lowest price in the premium suhd range...and for the price...its really good....do it....8)

Has anyone read the reviews on the JL listing...seems to be a few issues with this technology at the moment

SD looks rubbish on just about every TV! Luckily most channels are HD now.

I have a 48 inch Samsung and sit 2.4m from the screen so quite close. Need at least 60 inches to make 4k worth it. Bigger is always better.

Please drop some more tomorrow! Budget is £900 max so need it to really

Looking at the reviews on the JL site I'm a bit worried seeing multiple people talk about a stutter issue which is obviously a big deal to them. I was thinking about getting this TV but ultimately most of my sources will be upto 1080p which seems to be a factor for this issue? Does anyone have any more information about this.

We're just going to have to trust AVforums etc on this one. I've heard that the stuttering happens to people who haven't properly configured the settings.

Been monitoring this TV too. Hoping for a drop to £900 before biting but this is really tempting. If nothing else comes up tomorrow then I'm going for this
#32
Same here. All depends what the competitors do now in the morning. Have a feeling this isn't going to drop much further.
#33
Hoping for some Black Friday magic on this or the 8000 :D

Richer Sounds is £949 now as well, wonder which will budge first lol

Aren't Quidco offering £55 cash back on a Currys purchase of a 50' + TV ?
#35
75 quidco now
#36
Hmmm I was hoping for sub 900
#37
Me too below £900 was the biting point for me, curry's code isn't working now either. But don't really trust their warranty anyway
#38
I think Richer Sounds at 949 is worth it. Extra years warranty and better overall service. I've reserved one from Currys as an emergency fallback
#39
Best richer sounds can do it for is £935 today. They have price promise of 7 days, so if say it goes down to 900 in 7 days, they'll refund the difference. Can't really lose out tbh.

And John Lewis will price match any drops for up to 30 days.....extra pricematch commitment vs 1 extra year warranty.....tough choice :)
