Agreed, it's really ugly - the picture makes it look ok but if you think about it, it's silver painted plastic, and it's not even trying to look like brushed metal, urgh.

It was selling for £30-35 when we were looking for them about three months ago- not £80!

"Theres an audible and acoustic signal"

Actually its genuine brushed steel and it looks great in real life. Can't vouch for what the toast taste like though but that's not the point of a toaster is it?

#16
does it send you an SMS when the toast's done? If not, I'll be hitting that cold button... ;)
#17
think i'll stick with the asda one - £3.47 and the quickest toaster i've ever had

I once had a toaster a bit like this - packed with all the features... but it was incredibly slow
#18
Is it me or are there no 4 slice toasters about?
#19
I was just about to buy this, I misread description as integrated Bum warmer.

Nice post OP. Ordered. H & R given. :)

I actually suspect this toaster might be quite 'smart'. Anyone remember that inventors program with Trevor Baylis and Philipa Forester(?). I remember a guy who had integrated the sensor from a smoke alarm with a toaster that created perfect toast every time regardless of bread type / room temperature etc. I recall thinking at the time it would never make it to market because smoke alarms contain radioactive material which wouldn't go down well with the public but I also felt this would make a fantastic product if they could keep the the negative aspects quiet.

or you could get the toast and egg poacher for another £9.95.... :-D

Did anyone really pay 80.00 for a toaster in the first place??
