I can't believe how much tuna has gone up now!!! This is probably be best price you'll find it at the moment - even supermarkets own is expensive....

Costco were selling 10 tins of John West tuna for £4.49 last time I went there and had been doing so for a few weeks.

Totally - Sainsbury's do these for over £5 last time I checked. Hot

Got some of this for the cats the other week in my corner shop (a Londis, maybe) so not restricted to Lidl. I think I paid around the same price.
Compare to Tesco Value tuna which is 55p a tin but far inferior and you're onto a winner (so say the cats, anyway).
#10
tesco got this on half price as well
#11
I used to eat so much Tuna I got mercury poisoning, seriously. Two tins a week is supposed to be the safe limit but these days I try to eat as little as possible.

This is a good price but I much prefer it in sunflower oil.

did you post the deal for others?....if you didnt, what's your point in posting this time?
#13
Tuna must be in season, Paid £3 for four tins of Princes in Iceland the last time I bought some and not as good as John West. I'll buy some of these.
#14
hi,

i saw these cheaper in tesco last night
4 cans at half price so 4 = £1.60.

they had the ones in spring water too for the healthy ones

Is it just me or does the word "brine" turn your stomach?

Thats a little harsh isnt it ?

Simply because deebstermac never posted it as a deal doesnt give anyone else the right to slate them - perhaps in their opinion it wasnt so much of a deal at the time.

They were kind enough to share their findings on this thread and their 'point' of posting the comment was totally relevant to this deal and very helpful for others , a price comparison for others thinking of stocking up on this product is a good thing isnt it ?

I dont think we should be insulting people because they didnt post a deal , lol !! Is this site becoming abit of a joke or what !

I frankly would never post any deal on here with the way members of this forum dish out abuse , why wind myself up with the insulting comments and abuse. Heavens forbid posting a deal that was available 2p cheaper somewhere else ....... RUN FOR COVER !!!
#17
Around the same price in Tesco, plus you get free shopping bags and 2p in clubcard points :-P

Not a bad offer, but recently bought a basket full from the local Spar on offer at £1.99 for either in Oil or Water.
#19
decent price, but as others have mentioned its on offer at other supermarkets too at the moment.

bought some tuna flakes from iceland the other day - 4 tins for £1.50 - bargain i thought....
...until i tasted it - not plesant at all!
#20
Given how expensive Tuna is now this is a great price. Good that other stores are following suit too. Time to stock up.
#21
great price.
#22
Remember paying £1.99 BOGOF a couple of years back.

Can't quite figure out the dramatic Tuna price hike over past couple of years but voted hot, because this is really as good as it gets now.
#23

thats what i meant before as john west tuna is so tasty than the other brands and it is well worth it at this price

tesco do have offers on but no for john west at this price

I don't like brine but if there was in oil that would be good.

Also like Tuna steaks rather than chunks but good at this price.

Tuna seems to have gone up so much in the last six months.
