Great deal - this works out cheaper than buying 4 tins of value tuna chunks at the major supermarkets (57-60p each).

I always buy Tuna for 50p a tin - when I see it. It's very rarely sold any cheaper than this for a brand name!

Actually the article is worth reading. I wont be buying John West tuna anymore. Fortunately we buy Sainsbury's tuna anyway so bit of luck there.

You would be ignorant to make that statement without actually reading what he posted? Then you could refute anything you disagree with.

They do have a point . . just catching tuna the way they do can cause irreversable damage. If you can be more careful catching tuna, that obviously make more sense would it not?

Any how . . JW/Princess Tuna tastes miles better than supermarket branded tuna. The good thing about tuna is the shelf life. I always tend to stock up about 30 cans or so if it's on a good price. Excellent source of protein on the cheap for the those of us who do weight training :)

If you listen to all these so called "experts" we will have all died due to global warming/asteroid hitting the earth/bird flu/swine flu so I will just buy the cheapest tuna thanks.

Voted HOT! I used to pay £5 for 6 tins at Asda but more recently I've been getting 4 tins for £2.49 from Home Bargains

Thank you to all who read the article, whether you agree or disagree it is not about being a "tree hugging hippy" but i feel that everybody should be more informed about the foods we eat

Thank you again

Well said, and way to present an argument rather than trying to enforce an opinion.
I love tuna, and I do like John West, but I always thought they were a bit more eco friendly than that.
I'll probably be trying to stock up on this on Thursday like everyone else, but I'll definitely rethink which brand I buy the next time!
