"You killed my f****** dog! "

Not like the majority of films this was actually finished in 4K so you'll see the improvement in detail and then you've got the High Dynamic Range and wider colour gamut. Good price for a 4K new release seeing some are going for around £24.99. The Ultra HD blu-rays are all region free. It's under £15 so you don't have to worry about any extra import charges.

Just depends if having more detail, better colours and HDR matters to you if it does then I think it's a good buy.

I am just advising you that it is wise to order items separately so you do not reach the Customs value threshold.

...and for those that may see something else they wish to purchase at the same site. It is a warning for them too.

Either way, you're welcome.

With the Ultra HD blu-rays you go from around 16 million shades of colour with blu-ray's 8-bit colour to over one billion colours that's your wider colour gamut 10-bit .

I hear you but you can see a difference, in some scenes everything seems to look nearly the same colour but with the 10- bit there's more variety.

Yes I knew you was going to say that, yes the colours do look more vivid, but I think the major gain with HDR is the bigger luminance range, just don't get to hung up quoting 16 million shades to ever a billion.

WowHD are not the same company they used to be. They have really turned things around. Used to take about a month to deliver, now its about a week (which is no different to companies like MusicMagpie). Many others online have been saying words to similar effects. Must be under new management.

Think someone said on the blu-ray.com forums that they send to the UK to the same location then post again from there so if that's true it won't matter how much you spend you won't pay any extra so another positive. The only bad thing about them I think is that some items are way over priced.

Its very rarely what you pay for an item, it's what they write on tbe label for item, postage and insurance

Yeah thats true they got a redistribution centre over here were its sent to first then its sent to the customer.

Some things are overpriced but i normally just buy things from them around the £6 mark that workout a lot cheaper than elsewhere. There is a lot of bargains to be had, just gotta be familiar with region coding on blurays as several are region A locked.

So their web site text is out-of-date/incorrect then.

OK. Thanks.

Do they still ask for identification documents (Driving Licence, Passport, etc.)?

Does anyone still buy from Wowhd? I thought they had all but disappeared. Buying from them always seemed to be bad for the environment - air freight etc.

When they were filming the scene where he kills the dog the actor who plays the bad guy kept picking it up and cuddling it between takes as he felt awful even acting it out. Also the shot of the dog lying dead is a prop. Feel any better now?

I use wow all the time never a problem with customs even when I bought films over 15 quid, takes a few weeks to come though!
#34
Also use wowhd for 4k purchases, never had an issue, you can use jbhifi or zoom as well to compare prices.

Always loads of moaners on jere who likely dont have a 4K TV with decent HDR.

Quality movie. Just need to get myself a Dolby Atmos soundbar.

Around £1300 hopefully not too long until a drop in price

The Blurays in these are typically region locked, the Ultra UHD ones aren't. While I'd love John Wick UHD for £14.75, I just can't bring myself to have a bluray that I wouldn't use hehe.
