Joie i-Anchor Advance car seat including i-Base Advance from Kiddies-Kingdom.

Must be an error in the website because the Joie i-Anchor advance alone is £169.95 on their website, and actually £199 on John Lewis website so this is a steal. Just received mine in the post today was also free next day courier so cant complain one little bit.

RRP of car seat and base together is £325 so a massive 48% off. Best deal i can find around. This car seat conforms to the new i-Size regulations so safe for baby. This is our first so trying to save and scrimp everywhere whilst making sure we are providing quality equipment and of course you cant put a price on your babies safety. But really chuffed i found this deal and hope others agree.

You should just double-check the returns policy offered by Kiddies Kingdom - this is a brilliant child seat, it offers rear facing to 18kgs which is so much safer than putting a baby in a forward facing seat around their first birthday, but if your car has seats which slope a lot (i.e. your knees are higher than your hips when sitting in the back seat of your car) then that slope is going to cancel out a lot of the recline of the child seat. You may find that the seat is too upright for a newborn even when it's fully reclined. This may also happen if the ISOFIX points are low down in your car's seat. Joie have a fitting list on their website, but it's not exhaustive - if your car is not on there it just means it's not been tested. Ideally you'd go to a retailer and try the seat in person before you buy it and the retailer can confirm that the seat fits. But that's not always possible and I wouldn't trust any fitting advice I was given on the high street anyway!

Thanks for the info Andre.

I might also add that this base is compatible with the Joie i-Gemm car seat carrier which I have also ordered on uber kids who are currently doing a valentine's day 10 pound off discount which makes it 90 pounds which again is the cheapest again for that particular seat and can be combined with this one.

Not a price error, I got one a while ago.

I got Halfords to price match so it makes it a little easier should I have to return for any reason, also got over £6 cash back with Quidco

Hi All

I am in the m,market for a car seat and ISOFIX for my first child (due date April 2017) and was thinking about going for the Maxi Cosi Pebble with ISOFIX, but have just come across this deal. Would appreciate some thoughts from you fine people on how this compares/plus and minus points? Thanks in advance!

My advice, read the reviews. We looked at this but seems a lot have returned and bought the 360 due to baby head lag even when reclined

The pebble is group 0 an infant seat that can be put on a pushchair and will last you from birth to approx 1 year. Just like the i-Anchor though you should test it out in your car to ensure it isn't too upright. It can be installed using the ISOFix base or using the seatbelt on the car seat itself. Is safe but doesn't feel as secure. It makes moving a sleeping baby easy as you bring the car seat with you. It is just more practical if you use the car a lot. They can only stay in the car seat for up to 2 hours but small babies would need feeding/comforting/changing at intervals less than that anyway!

The iAnchor is better value as will do you from birth to around 3 or 4, it can be installed with either the seat belt or the isofix. Which can be important for relatives or childminders cars etc. You don't remove the seat from the car though if the baby is asleep you will need to wake the baby to bring them into the house or place them in the pushchair.

If you get the more expensive ISOFix 2 way fix base for your pebble you can buy a 2 way pearl toddler seat which will fit your 2 way fix base. The 2 way pearl is quite expensive though. They also do an ISOfix "easyfix" base which is the cheaper isofix base but it is NOT compatible with the 2 way pearl toddler seat.

If you are choosing the pebble because of pushchair compatibility, the adapters for the pebble also work for the cybex aton and the besafe izi go car seats. All of which rate well in the crash test results.

Yes looked at those too, most of the ones I found with images had the strap height too low and the incorrect insert cushion usage for the age. Definitely worth checking the returns policy just in case.

just to add that the iAnchor Advance cannot be fitted with a seatbelt - it is an iSize seat which, with current regulations, can only be fitted with isofix.
Also the maxicosi EasyFix base is not compatible with the Pebble, only the Cabriofix.

Thank you all for the advice, really useful. Please keep any more comments coming, it's a bit of a minefield to new parent! Thanks again!

I would advise you to check this in your car before buying. it doesn't allow much legroom for the child when rear facing so keeping them rear facing until 4 is difficult. its also quite large when rear facing which means you can't put the passenger seat back very far unless you have a huge car. I know it also front faces but if you are serious about safety you won't be using it front facing at all.

Can I just add that this isn't a post about a review of the car seat. Merly that this is a good deal

But surely a good deal is based on whether or not the product is any good?

Apologies the pebble is not compatible with the easyfix base.
iAnchor though CAN be fitted with the seat belt.
The iAnchor car seat meets BOTH the current standards fitted with the seatbelt AND the new iSize standards when fitted with isofix. Both safety regulations are to run side by side the new iSize standard will not a replacement for the current standard for quite a few years yet because there are still many older cars that don't have isofix.

the original iAnchor was capable of being fitted with belt, isofix or both but it was then retested and in order to meet iSize regs it could no longer be belt fitted. The Advance has only ever been an iSize seat, so only isofix fitted.

I've just had an "awaiting stock" email. Not a cancellation which is good. Don't know why this hasn't gone super hot oO

i think its because of the brand. and the mixed reviews.

personally for us its perfect because its i-Size compliant so we know its safe. Plus we have go the Joie Chrome travel system and our iGemm car seat also fits into the iBase advance.
#22
FYI only blue colour left at this price.

decent price for a decent seat... any parent in their right mind won't be fussed about the colour X)
#24
Definitely a great price, but becasue it can't be put on a pushchair its unfortunately not for me. Back to the hunt for a good deal on a Maxi Cosi...
#25
d_struct the base alone isnt much less than this deal. What we have done is just get this deal AND get the Joie iGemm which is compatible with this base. We actually have the whole set as we have the Joie chrome travel system which the iGemm fits onto.
#26
prices of all 3 colours now gone up to 270 now:)

In case anyone is still looking for this and is happy with the blue colour, these are available for £149.99 on a bounty offer at the moment: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/joie-anchor-advance-car-seat-isofix-base-149-99-with-code-precious-little-one-2619818

This deal is still active, the other one has expired. So unsure about whether or not to go for this seat for my 2 year old. I assume with better neck control she will be ok in this seat!? So many conflicting reviews.
