This car seat was posted last week at £169.99 but it is even cheaper at the moment on Precious Little One with a code from bounty. This offer applies to the blue (Eclipse) colour only. The code is KSF27 and is available here:

http://www.bounty.com/offers-products/car-seats/isize/plo-joie-i-anchor-advance-car-seat-and-base

It is a limited time offer until 19th February.

The car seat including base is £300 but the code takes it down to £149.99 which is the best I could find so I have ordered one for my little boy.

This is a great car seat compatible with the new i-size regulations. It is rear facing from birth up to 105cm/18.5kg which is around age 4. Rear facing is widely acknowledged to be a much safer option for children up to age 4 but can be quite expensive. The car seat can also be used forward facing.

It is worth checking before buying if it is compatible with your car, there is a list on the Joie website. Also the recline might be restricted if your back seats slope and the isofix fittings are low in the car. This is the same with most of this type of seat.

I have one of these and a Maxi-Cosi 2way Pearl in the other car, and I really would recommend paying the extra for the Maxi-Cosi. On the Maxi-Cosi all the fabric parts are easily removable for cleaning, and the harness is all spring loaded so it stays out of the way. With the Joie, it is a lot harder to remove bits for cleaning (and the shoulder pads are not removable), and the straps are just loose so always get in the way when loading the baby.

I hate this car seat.

Bought as it was suitable for upto 3 years old. My 14 month old, who is by no means a unit, barely fits.

Went back to Mothercare to claim it was missold and they asked me to leave.

Worst shopping experience for product and store I've ever experienced.

They asked you to leave? More like you kicked off and caused a scene.

I have this car seat and have been really happy with it.
I have a baby who is often car sick and contrary to the other posters comments it is very easy to remove to clean and the shoulder pads on mine are removable with poppers so literally takes 2 seconds - maybe they have a different model?
I thought it was quite a small fit but there are 3 removable cushions to adapt to the different stages. My baby is still young and rear facing but I've also used this on a 4year old (friends child).
With all the additional padding out she fit fine however her legs would have been reasonably squished in rear facing but I think this is the same for any rear facing seat!

Most of those parents were not using the seat properly (in terms of the various baby inserts and the position and tightening of the harness) or had bought the seat without checking or being told that the angle of their car's seats was going to tip the child seat forward and cancel out most of the recline.

now we ordered this when it was on here last week but between all the people who slate it and all the people who love it it's hard to know what to bloody think now.

we are yet to use it but due to the apparent "shocking safety flaws" articles or "awesome safe seat" reviews people don't stand a chance if they want an honest and fair description of its pros and cons.

my missus loves it but now I've got newspaper headlines and horror stories flashing through my head.

stupid opinions! :/

Also worth mentioning that since the news articles the seat was reviewed and is now different

That is not the "advance" model ;) It is the earlier version.
