Go home to your families!!!

Regular occurrence at my local around the hot food counter come 9pm. Unbelievable especially when some of the people just chuck the unwanted items in the various isles round the store.

Why. Their families don't want them either. No where to go but shopping for cheap unwanted meat. :{

It was cringe in Morrisons as well, people hovering around the woman reducing stuff & shoving packets of stuff in her face asking for it to be reduced oO

I really love the Christmas spirit.....fighting strangers for cheap food! Better to give than receive and all that.

If its cheap, people will fight over anything even if they don't need it!!!!!

Just got back, too many bargains, got a load of fish at 90% off (the price) while the others were waiting for turkeys to be reduced. Then got a turkey at 80% off. Did it all with no fighting or bruises :)

our local had Turkeys with dates of 26th of Dec so not reducing further...!

I'm not doing my Christmas Panic-buying until next week when things are quieter.

Tesco always have plenty of turkeys, but occasionally some good deals too

Are the geese on offer too?

No
The wild ones are free to chase, and the ones that lay golden eggs have been nabbed by Tesco accountants in some hopeful fantasy of redemption :)

The wife loves to battle with Eastern Europeans for the bargains, poor result tonight though, all she got was 5 packs of mushrooms and 4 packs of fried rice for 90p.She said she was to late. :(

WTF we are going to do with them I don't know, mushroom fried rice anyone ? (_;)

I can't call reductions like £33 -> £22 a good deal. Not nationwide and cold.

I prefer chicken to Turkey! So I don't have to 'fight' for them!

Mushroom stroganof (get yer own back on them eastern europeans) http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1898646/mushroom-stroganoff
Mushroom risotto
Mushroom soup
Curries (with leftover Turkey)

any mushrooms left over just air-dry them and bottle

God I'm hungry now. Scratch that last line - any left-over mushrooms PM them to me :)
