Join the AA £107.00 + QUIDCO (£57 with QUIDCO cashback)

Just been looking for a new breakdown policy.

The £107.00 package from the AA covers Roadside assistance / At home - ideal for winter / National recovery. £50 QUIDCO cashback with this option.

You can pay in 10 monthly installments of £10.72. There is an option of a £71 package but this comes with only £19 cashback so effectively you can have the better package for £57.00 (with quidco adjustment) rather than the less comprehensive package for £52 (with quidco adjustment)

I would welcome any other suggestions from other providers.

Thanks.

Always got my quidco back using the AA, however a few other people have said previously that they had it declined.

i used AA 18month ago never again!!!

was with then till jan this year when i called them out for 1st time 51 weeks after joining -called during bad weather but i wasted astounded when the AA expected me to call back next day leaving me stranded as they were too busy...thats not my problem!!!....id paid about £110 (inc £50 cashback, package was about £160ish) for their top package, absolutey useless company....my renewal was due in a week and i said i wont be renewing if they didnt come within a reasonable time, they came within 45 mins.....as for the renewal i didnt bother when they wanted £230 (up from £160ish!) with NO discount...WHAT!!?

previously ive been with the RAC who are brilliant but not cheap

im now with Gem - imo they are the best - they use local garages so it can be a lottery i guess but they come 1st or 2nd every year as best breakdown.......they are also excellent pricewise £82 for the top package with 2nd family member free (better than aa and racs top £200+ packages)

Same experience with AA....told to ring back in 24 hours....they can go shove it come renewal time!

They did NOT pay quidco for me....waste of time NEVER touch the AA again EVER!

i got the aa deal through quidco about 3weeks ago and it as tracked at £50 cash back, so with the £50 cash back it's cost me £57 for roadside, relay and home-start, which is very good. i phoned the aa after a week and added the breakdown repair on top which only cost me £80 on top which is also very good, so for £137 i've got roadside, relay, home-start and breakdown repair, i'm a happy bunny.

If people take offers up because of quidco, then of course they can vote hot if it includes quidco!

Quidco went through for me, though it did take about 6 months. They've been ok for me, had to use them once and they came in about 30 minutes (wasn't during the snow) and sorted out the problem.

Also understandable that the AA couldn't go to everyone, i mean s*** happens when it snows.. ppl were warned not to travel but ppl chose to do so at your own risk. They probably tried to prioritise people with children or the elderly when their services are stretched.

Fairdo's prioritise BUT we were told to ring back in 24 hours.....the call wasn't even logged as a call-out...it was a case of ring back in 24 hours and then see what they can do, no promises! We all pay our AA membership so we all deserve a call out if one is required. I absolutely put those stranded alone etc above my own situation BUT I'd paid my membership too and when I needed them I was told to call back in 24 hours which to me, is and was completely unacceptable! If they'd said there's 100 stranded motorists in front of you and an approximate time for call-out to you will be in 15 hours or 24 hours time that wouldn't have been so bad....it was the ring back in 24 hours and we'll see what we can do that really jacked me off!
