This has to be one of the top 10 funniest comedys ever. If you liked Coupling then you'll like this.
Site says Pre-order. | Due for release on 23/06/2008

From the multiple BAFTA Award winning writer, Steven Moffat (Coupling, Press Gang, Doctor Who, Jekyll, Tin Tin) comes the first series of Joking Apart, starring Robert Bathurst and Fiona Gillies. First shown in 1993, the series was a huge cult hit, and has been eagerly awaited on DVD ever since.

Comedy writer Mark Taylor knows he has found the woman of his dreams when he meets Becky, and sweeps her off her feet with his non-stop, quick-fire one-liners. But five years on, Mark doesn't realise that the joke has worn thin, and a surprise party for Becky changes his life completely. Told in flashback, this award-winning bittersweet comedy has it all; laughter and tears, joy and pain.

Also available as series 1 & 2 for £27.58 at Replay-shop

Same price at Amazon, and also less than a quid cheaper than some other places. Not really a "hot deal".

I vaguely remember this show, but can't remember whether it was any good or not.

This has been out two years - check amazon (same price there btw + P&P).

Can buy direct from Replay shop £27.58 for series 1 & 2 (including P&P) and read about how the series finally came about being released - basically by a fan. So don't expect to find this in the bargain bins in the near future. Series 2 only recently released.

Separately Series 1 £13.99, series 2 £15.99 (2 disc), excl P&P. 12 episodes, (series 2 includes the original pilot episode). Plenty of audio commentaries etc if you are into extra's.

Very funny programme (not really suitable for kids). :whistling:

Have to agree very funny series.

Written by Steven Moffat, the replacement of Russell T Davis on Doctor Who and has written some great episodes for it too (ie. Blink).

Fair comment, although I don't think Amazon or Play have been stocking it that long, Play say Due for release on 23/06/2008, presumably when they expect first stock, And the reviews on Amazon (All 5 star) start from 7 Feb 2008. I've certainly never found it before, and I have looked!
