This mitre box is ideal for several woodcutting applications such as skirtings, covings, picture frames, door frames etc. It can be altered to 6 different fixed angle settings which are 90, 60, 45, 30, 22.5 and 15 degrees (left and right). It has a very sturdy construction making it suitable for heavy duty DIY use. This mitre box is made completely from die cast aluminium meaning it will last a long time with no plastic parts. The saw guide is also made from aluminium which means for more accurate cuts, it also allows cut depth adjustments and can be adjusted to different sizes to fit most saws. For best results it is recommended that you clamp the mitre box to your workbench.

Jump to unread Post a CommentGrrrrrr - I think you may be mistaken FWIW (are you looking at blades only?) - this is a high quality mitre box - not an injection moulded jobby with the issue of the slots not being vertical so that they release from the mould. With metal guides, it should last rather longer and will cut more precisely too.
Thanks OP - I've been looking for a decent mitre box for some coving. I have a power compound mitre saw, but they are no good for deep coving/cornice work in comparison to these, and you only have to waste one piece of cornice with a cheaper tool for this to easily have paid for itself.
