In 1976 four young men from ruined, post-industrial Manchester, went to see the Sex Pistols. They formed a band, Joy Division. Three years later it was a matter of art, life and death.
Now thirty years later, they are enjoying a larger audience and more influence than ever before with a profound legacy that resonates fiercely in today's heavily careerist music industry and over-mediated pop culture.
Featuring the unprecedented participation of the surviving band members (now known as New Order), the film examines the band's story as depicted through never-before-seen live performance footage, personal photos, period films and newly discovered audiotapes. With poignant narratives from surviving members of the band - Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook and Stephen Morris - as well as accounts from Throbbing Gristle musician Genesis P. Orridge, late legendary Factory Records owner Tony Wilson, iconic Factory Records graphic artist Peter Saville, photographer/filmmaker Anton Corbijn, Belgian journalist Annik Honore and others, the film is a fresh visual account of a time and place.
From director Grant Gee and producers Tom Atenico, Tom Astor and Jacqui Edenbrow, Joy Division chronicles a time of great social and political change in England and tells the untold story of four men who transcended economic and cultural barriers to produce an enduring musical legacy.

Personally I found this to be more interesting than Control... different beasts of course but I guess the two compliment each other quite well.

Expired deal.
Yeah. I'm trying to find out exactly what it is with the voucher at Borders. It applies it. Says your paying the reduced price. But they still charge you full price without letting you know unless you check your email. There will be some very angry punters. £2 off voucher now expired cos of this underhand method Borders have adopted.

Tell me about it, my past shopping experience has not been too great with Borders anyway, they are always so slow to despatch goods (well packaged though when they do, at least bookwise) Prefer to spend the extra quid at Play.com then try and chase this one up to be honest.
Still pretty much a bargain at a fiver from Play.

Their customer service appears to not exist! :whistling:
As an aside there is a flaw on their website that allows you to view the names of other customer's just by adjusting the URL when you are in your account. :whistling:
Note: I have informed them of this...
It turns out that customerservice@mail2.borders.co.uk is bouncing messages - so they have not been informed! Pah
