just as a slight warning. the individual ports are very easy to fuse/blow/break. I got one a while back and the ports packed up one by one until all three wouldnt work. got a new one about 6 months back, and the first port has already blown on it leaving only 2 working.

saying that its a good bit of kit as long as you dont touch it once it working...I'm tempted to get a third one.

One of the reasons i sold off my philips was to buy the sony 32v4000 was not enough hdmi and couldn't find a switcher this cheap.

Can anyone suggest an HDMI switcher that definatley can work in reverse. IE 2 outputs from 1 input. (I am aware that they won't both work at the same time)

Seeing as there's no video processing logic in a standard HDMI switcher, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

I bought this . . .

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00110ZWFG

I needed to switch between the tv and the projector, so wanted a passive cheap switch that could take one input and two outputs. This it seems is tricky to find and most solutions are electronic multi way matrix switch devices that are accordingly expensive.

This switch is mechanical, so no issues using it back to front i.e. have the screens on the input and the amp on the output. It does the job and was cheap (£6) but I will be honest and say it does not look like it will survive a lifetime, hopefully long enough for the price of matrix switches to drop though ;-)

I've had one of these for about a year now with no problems.

Has been very reliable for putting my V+, DVD and PS3 into 1 HDMI port. It has a small remote control for switching between the 3, so you can hide it round the back of the TV. Also will plug into a usb port on the V+ box so I don't need to plug it in to an AC Socket....

currently out of stock

for those people wanting an hdmi splitter, search ebay for item 110329404688

ive got a simmiler one that splits dvi, works great as long as both tv's can display the same resolution.

I need two input and two outputs.

From Sky+ and DVD to TV or Projector.

Anyone come across such a beast?

Also in stock (about 10 as there were 15 and i took 4) in Sheffield City Centre HMV (though you have to ask upstairs at the games counter as they are in the stock room not on the shelves)..

Just been in and picked up 4 for them for me and some friends.. Its a brilliant bit of kit.. can be usb powered or mains powered.. and can be hidden away down the back as the IR sensor comes on a little wire which can be run to the front of your entertainment unit to control it.

An amazing deal.

Out of stock at merry hill :(

Also, you may need to ask for it as a Madcatz Ps3 Hdmi Trilink Switcher, as its listed on the site, the chap i just spoke to on the phone said they didnt have it listed as logitech.
