This is an absolute steal!

if like me and have a really good HD Resolution tv or have too many products using Component connection then this is the product you need. I have an amp that i use for component switching but im moving in with the gf and her folks and the amp is too big so this is my solution.

It used to retail at £89.99 and at £17.99 this is a bargain, and please ignore the comments from peoples reviews, most of them do not understand how to fiddle with settings or have low end very cheap porducts its not meant for.

Been this price for quite a while now. Was posted at this price 6 weeks ago as well. http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/241794/joytech-xbox-360-control-center-540/

Stealth "I have a really good TV" thread.

it is basically a component and composite hub, so you can plug in your sky/dvd etc and 360/wii then run the audio to an amp if wanted too over optical
#5
If you have a Wii you will find slight problems with this product - washed out image, or no image on certain screens, but all you need to do is call Joytech and they'll send you a small adapter for the back of the unit and it will fix it perfectly. (At no cost, just the hassle of calling and waiting)
#6
Shame this hasn't got VGA or HDMI output or I would have bought one!
#7
I'd recommend checking with HMV. They had been selling these for £5 each in-store. I bought two and they are indeed excellent. Every possibility that there's none left but you never know, could be worth a quick phone call to your local store.

Given the original price of about £90 and the fact that not all of us are bothered about HDMI these are excellent. Watch out for Wii compatibility though.

Not really as if it was a "really good TV" it would have enough connectivity without one of these :)

These also act as a 5x network hub. For pity's sake why is this cold? It's a bargain.
I have one and it's great. So what if it's been this price for a while? Not everyone will have read the original post.
I voted hot.

**** - Loads of problems with them - google it..
#11
I've never had any problems. I have an Xbox1, 360, DVD recorder, PS2 and an iPod dock going through mine, plus it's all networked in for streaming to the TV. Plus i've customised the AV readout on front to the bits I have. It's brilliant.
I don't really care what Google says, I know what my experience is with it.

Some people are far too fickle!

i have a very good tv, but not many tv's ever have more than one component input anyway. I know alot of people who own one of these bits of kit and all are happy with it. If you choose to believe the reviews of people who can barely use simple to follow remote control then thats your own downfall. Trial and error is a good term...and as you can read above people are not just using it as a component hub. Thats just my rant at people voting cold for petty reasons!!
#13
Voted hot -- wonder if a trip to HMV is in order..?
#14
Have one of these, excellent bit of kit and never given me problems. Voted hot and thank you to the OP.
#15
There is pretty much no hassle with getting the adaptor from Joytech - I got mine within a week.

This is a good price if HMV don't have any £5 jobbies left (which is likely)

I got mine for circa £25 from TK Maxx and thought that was Good vfm.

I have PS2, XBOX, DVD, hooked up and have trialed with Wii - no problems. Just have to buy my own Wii and X360 now!

Will soon be networking it too (when I have time)

Heat.

got 3 on my "very good amp" :)

seriously though if your lacking component inputs this is a good option.

Someone help me out here please.

What is it for? And what can it do?

Its a component switcher, like your usual scart switcher or HDMI, its for people with consoles or appliances using component connectors. XBOX 360, WII, PS3, Sky HD and DVD players and recorders usually have component on the back. its good if you have an older hd tv with only component like myself (and cant afford a new one just yet)

just gives you the option to connect more up and only have one plugged to the tv
#19
is this better then buying a 4 way hdmi switcher and then a sep 4 way audio splitter
thanks

No - it doesn't switch hdmi

The main two problems I found while researching this before buying were:
- Wii picture problem - fixed by one phone call
- Xbox 360 video was black and white and not clear. This is fixed by following the instructions in the manual to pop off the front and flick one switch.
- Imperfect picture - fixed by using a better cable than the one included in the box (although I used the included one to hook up my media player to it and it loosk fine!)

5 port hub, Component switch (also does S-Video and composite), optical output switch, dedicated 360 input, remote control, nice styling, bargain price. If you have a HDTV and are a gamer you'll have about 3 things to plug in anyway.
#22
any links with scart leads ill need to run dvd playern and sky plus box thru this
#23
No scart on this one discodaddy, but a simple 2 socket scart switch should be cheap (I'm sure I've seen them in poundland before) - or I think some Sky+ boxes have S-Video out, which this box handles, you'll just need an S-Video cable and a twin phono audio cable (red & white at both ends), leaving the dvd player to occupy your scart socket. (Your tv would need S-video input of course).
#24
thanks, not to techy , confused how to set up. with sky plus, dvd , wii and xbox, if anyone fancys doing a diagram...pls pls pls

thanks
#25
You will need composite leads (red, ylw, whi), supplied with the 540C, to connect it to your TV. Probably on AV3 or something. Then everything you want to plug in plugs into the 540C, again using the RYW leads.
#26
great thanks- do u get scart into r/y/w leads
#27
If the unit doesn't come with the adaptor, then yes, you can get the scart adaptors from SVP, Argos, anywhere really. Mine simply goes into the RYW sockets on the back of the TV, most AV equipment has a composite option. I believe you should have got a scart adaptor with your Xbox. I did.
#28
yep thanks, need to purchase lead for sky plus box....
#29
Don't forget that you can take the face panel off and change the LCD descriptions to the correct names (Xbox, DVD Rec, VHS, PS3 etc). It's described in the instruction book :)
#30
how does attachment for the will go on- got part from joytech

thanks
