I bought these a few months ago while they were £49.99 at Robert Dyas.

They really are superb pans, very good quality, nice heavy feel to them. The pouring lids are a big plus.

All round great pans at an even greater price!

Don't forget 5% through Quidco.

Sorry about the voucher thingy, I messed up.

I don't have a voucher available for RD.

Thanks for the pointer :) Look good for the price even without the voucher ;-)

Most places have these for around £60, so it's a good deal. Not sure where the £194.99 RRP came from :)

Seems strange how the alternative set on their site here is priced at £49.99 with a recommended retail price of £49.99 when it also has 6 pieces. Think perhaps their original RRP for the listed set is a little optimistic.

@Justintrouble - me neither, but bloody good pans. Ours get daily use and quite heavy use at that and they cope perfectly with it. No loose handles or stains or anything like we've had with cheaper pans in the past, these are great.

@Kevinyork - These are expensive pans, perhaps not as expensive as the RRP would demonstrate, but then again, the RRP is just that, a RECOMMENDATION (sp?) :-)

Ah, it is the 49.99 set that I bought! DERR!

The only difference is that the the £49.99 set has a 20cm casserole set with it, and the 39.99 on has a collinder instead of the casserole pot.

The url for the 49.99 one is http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=311&storeId=91&productId=18208&langId=-1&cache_entry=-1&parent_category_rn=&parents_parent_category_rn=&top_category_rn=&showSubCategory=&top=Y&fromPage=SearchResults

Both are cracking prices.

My Fioncee has this set - they are nice but i noticed the handles on the lids tend to get a bit hot. Good price though!
#9
@scrumps - yes they do, but we've had pans with metal lids and handles before, and boy, did they get hot!
#10
Although the price looks great but are these non stick pans! else cleaning these would be a real work in itself...
#11
No these are just normal stainless steel. But I find that most of the pans that you use do not need to be non stick. You do need a couple of them however for stuff like scrambbled eggs. I have seen these pans selling for between £40 and £50 for a couple of years now so there's no rush to buy these.
#12
Similar if not identical pans in Matalan. On sale individually, so just get the pans you'll use. 20cm pan £7.
#13
O/T I know but just do scrambled eggs in the microwave.

No, they're not non-stick, but they are not a pain whatsoever to clean. Like I said, ours have not stained or anything yet.

The ones for £39.99 are not as good quality as the £49.99 ones. Called the drainer set the it has a steamer whereas the dearer set has a casserole.

They are all 18/80 Stainless steel as are the presige ones on the same site and all very much of a muchness. They are all made in the far east - not UK. There is an super-duper set that Robert dyas do for £79.00 (normaly £300). In a Black box, dont remember the make.

Also most of their main stores (Not the Somerfield ones) have 20% OFF across the outside of the shop so these would come in at around £31.00. apparantly the shop price for the £39.00 ones returns to £59.00 after WEDNESDAY.

See my original post last OCTOBER.
