one believe is a maple effect and one is a cherry oak.

Aren't these the really cheap ranges anyway? I bought the maple ones for the units in our garage last year. I think they were only £4 or £5 each then (I think they were 30% off at the time). If it is these that are that cheap, then the quality is fine but basic, and they are not much to look at.
#14
if anyone sees these instore please let us know i am after cheap doors to replace the ancient ones my new house has
banned#15
If it is like their past sales of old stock, you will probably find that there is not enough stock to replace doors for a whole kitchen, in one style. There will be loads of drawer fronts, lots of the odd shaped doors, but few of the 30, 40 or 50cm wide regular height doors.
#16
Is there any more clarity on start date?

Sounds like the event will be National and so should be in all stores , your local store may not have sufficient stock though, so may be worth a call before you go:thumbsup:

i personally would raid the warehouse stores on friday then lol.some of these ranges are carried in the larger warehouse stores and this range is in the new b&q kitchen catalogue so doesnt look like it will be a problem getting extra doors ordered
#24
The new Derby warehouse (jus in case any of u live near there) have quite a good stock level on the walnut, not too bad on the cherry, but u mite struggle for a full set of doors in the maple although there are a number of the 500mm glazed ones. This was at 6pm wed nite, hopefully other staff members haven't raided the stock.

Speaking to my contact again he says the prices are set to go down for tomorrow to allow stores to get ready for next week so if you are interested in may be worth taking a look on Friday, although it is unlikley to be price tagged but should scan at the tills at the lower price. It also coincides with the going going gone event
#26
Just to clarify, - The £1 sale on the 3 ranges (cherry/maple/walnut) does start tomorrow in all stores - These are currently regular stock AND AVAILABLE TO ORDER so there should be no reason not to get all the sizes you require.
Every door - door/drawer is £1
Side panels / cornice / pelmet/ plinth are their regular prices.
The sale on these runs for 2 weeks - stock is limited to 1 kitchen per household (this is to stop people from just buying up all the stock by the trailer load)

Surprised I'm the first to post.

The deal is on, £1 for all doors, picked up 54 doors this morning, including the glass ones. They didn't stop me regarding the '1 kitchen' rule, however when i went back (to buy some more shelving units at £9), I heard the woman talking to someone on how they were going to stop people like me buying loads.

Obviously, if your worried about this, take 2 or 3 peole, load up the trollies and pretend you don't know each other.

And before the moaners start - I probably need half of what I've brought, but because of them being v.light coloured (the maple ones) and v.cheap and presumably discontinued, I'm taking no risks and brought enough to repair any scuffed ones that I get over the next 10 years.

I was *almost* tempted to buy a complete set of darker doors at the same time, so that in a few years time, we could change all the doors... if it wasnt for the pelmet & kick-board changing-hassle, i perhaps would have done.

jesus 54 doors did they have many left which store was this from?
#31
I got mine from Sutton-in-ashfield.

I've been going in for the past months and usually the shelves are maybe a quarter filled - today they were stocked to the top. They're obviously expecting a lot of interest.

It's been advertised in the paper and it's on their website - so order as many as you like online for £5 delivery....

I ordered 42 doors online just to be safe. Not sure what the returns policy is but will wait till they deliver next friday before worrying about what I need and what I can return.

Does anyone know where I can get the rest of the kitchen cheaply eg units, handles, hinges, worktop etc?
