Unable to find any mention of £9 rooms on the website:x

jeez, can you two not read? It says, and I quote:

"We'll be taking bookings for our £9 Saver rooms from Friday afternoon."

The time currently is approx 09:52AM. The AM means Ante Meridiem, i.e "before noon".

When the clock says PM (Post Meridiem, i.e "after noon" or more commonly "afternoon"), this is probably when the offer may start to become available. Possibly not 12:01PM mind you, the message says "from Friday afternoon", which reads to me as "from Friday afternoon onwards".

So, when the little hand points to 12 and the big hand just after 12, THEN start checking their site.

I apologies in advance if the rooms are available before 12, which will mean I look an idiot because of Travelodge's lies! :-)

It says "from Friday afternoon" so I assume you won't find them up there until then.

Just got back from Travelodge Marylebone, what a dump. I would want change from £9 for staying there.
Why not book rooms at the Eastbourne Travelodge and come and see me.

Gee thanks for clearing that up neilmonk. Did you get out of bed on the wrong side or did Santa not not bring you what you wanted.

I only read the first section :

Of course I should have read the rest of the article but You did not need to get on your soapbox with your smart ar*e reply. Try taking a leaf from goodgrr.

This site is to help its members find value for money and yes some of us mis-read articles but we all make mistakes sometime. We can't all be as perfect as you in your Ivory Tower

id like to visit london and go sightseeing to all the tourist areas, anyone care to tell me the closest travelodge?
or alternatively the closest one to a subway?
#7
Covent Garden is the most central one. Failing that the Kings Cross one's have good transportation links. When you search for London on the Travelodge site it will show you how far out each one is.

Yes, you should have.

That's your opinion. I however felt the need.

Which is exactly what I was doing, helping you, and others, to find the rooms (by explaining that you need to look later today)

I'm far from perfect, I have never said I'm perfect.

Anyway, let's not argue over the internet, like kiddies. You were wrong by not reading the post fully, you've admitted that. Perhaps I was wrong to reply in the way I did, that's a matter of opinion.

Good luck in bagging yourself a room, THIS AFTERNOON :-)

gosh looks like a slagging match!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) maybe should have posted it this afternoon!!!!! :) convert garden is great ,stayed there once and kings cross can be noisy if you stay at the back of the hotel but front fine, and for £9 for upto 3 adults or 2 kids and 2 adults its very very good value (total cost not each!!)
#13
They did rooms for £5 about 3 years ago so it's not their cheapest rate.
#14
we stayed in romford central this summer,
not the closest to the city
but in the middle of its own shopping area with resaurants etc
walking distance to train station - we got a travel card so all transport included
car park literally around corner
it was no frills, but very clean, tv, tea making facilities
i'd go there again

oh and cause we were not central london no congestion charge

there is one near Liverpool Street, plus City Road (Barbican), and Farringdon. All also pretty well-located.

ok ok enough chucking your toys out of your prams please its xmas after all !!!! :santa::santa::santa:
#18
is £9 how much they are going to pay you to stay there?
#19
sorry to be thick and yes I know it has not started yet but does anyone know how it works, does it give you a link to the areas that have rooms or do you have to just keep trying dates and see if they come up at £9 as just looked at a room for 5 nights and it was £50 a night :w00t: and it looks a s**th*ol* but we only want to sleep in it so would be perfect if could get in there but not at £50 a night.

I'm not sure if anyone has replied but this time last year i stayed at the one in Harlow, it's next to harlows train station and not too far from London.. about 15minutes.
You're probably more likely to get a cheap room there than central london..
Hope it helps. :)

It really pi**** me off when i read some of the reviews. Just what do you want for £9 a night. You get clean linens hot running water and a toilet that flushes (including loo roll). When I read some of the reviews it all reads as though you only ever stay at the Hilton or Le Parker Meriden. This is a genuine offer from a reputable company give the company a break, and stop bitching read the offer and make your reservation this afternoon! Which other capital city in the world could you stay the night in for £9 or for the £29 offer as I have booked. Thanks Travelodge for giving a little something back.

As far as I read it you have to book at least 6 months in advance meaning to get the £9 room the earliest you can book to stay is 28th June 2008.

Am I understanding it right?
#30
@07sanchez - That's how I understand it too. I may be wrong though, remember I'm not perfect!

Our website is currently being visited by an unusually high number of customers all looking for great value hotel accommodation.

We want to make sure those customers who are already on the site can have the best booking experience. So we are temporarily restricting the number of customers who can visit the site. This restriction shouldn't last long and we would ask you to try again in a few minutes.

We apologise for the inconvenience.
