By far the cheapest available - very good buy!!!

Looks good, if only it was a 32".

further information and spec is available from JVC's website: http://www.jvc.co.uk/product.php?id=LT-26DR7SJ&catid=100088&lid=

However I haven't been able to find a review online yet :s

According to AV Forums this is a cut down version of LT-26DX7BJ. This TV does not have all the audio functions (i.e. no BBE or bass enhancer) and is in a cheaper case.

Review of the LT-26DX7BJ here

http://www.trustedreviews.com/article.aspx?art=2898

Generally gets a favourable review so for thsi proce the LT-26DR7SJ does seem a good buy.

Anyway just ordered one for my Parents. They are in their 70s so do not need / would not benefit :-) from all the bells and whistles

Just regged to say top find... been searchin here for a nice 26 for my kitchen wall for ages, and here it is !!

Anyways according to Sound & Vision the more interesting specs are:

500 cd/m2 Screen Brightness
800:1 Resolution
7 (ms) Screen Response Rate

Interesting response time !!

I would go with this JVC because:

1. The reviews of its big brother are pretty good, see my post above
2. Built in freeview
3. HDMI as opposed to DVI
4. JVC has two RGB SCART sockets Philips only one
5. The Philips is a run out model
6. The Philips is not a true 16:9 panel. Philips res = 1280 x 768 JVC res = 1366 x 768 (Philips is 15:9)

Anyone else had their telly yet?

What your opinion of it?

Mine's a little mixed at the moment for two reasons.

1. Picture quality is taking alot of tweaking of the settings and
2. the DVB tuner appears either to be faulty or nt there at all !!!!

Anyone?

cheers

with regard to the tuner, I just checked the offer again, I can't see Freview" anywhere on the page?? http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/RGNEC/3-/923302/JVC_26_LT_26DR7SJ_IDTV_HD_Ready_Dynapix_Widescreen_LCD_TV/Product.html?P36=4HXHER

"Two Tuners: Digital and Analogue"

Digital would mean freeview in my thoughts

I'm gutted i missed this, i was looking for one of these, i have the 37" version and it's awesome.

just get yourself a cheap Bush scart freeview plugin. I have one and they are pretty good.

The Sky DigiBox should be connect via a scart lead to ext2, there is something in the setup about an external decoder.

Anyway just press the AV button the the "2" button and this will switch to the sky input then use the sky remote as normal
