£156.59 + £12.99 Next Day Delivery.

I understand audio visual enthusiasts rate CRT over newer technology (deeper blacks etc?) so this may be of interest.
Shocking price really when you consider this probably would have cost well over a grand a few years ago!
Don't forget 2% Quidco x

Sorry can't seem to add the pic :(

Sorry but you can get at least a 19 inch lcd for around this price.....u would be mad to spend money like this for that tv..... i think you can get a 28 inch old style tv for under the hundred in asda now

Thanks for the reply vauxmic... just had a look on Asda website and I found this 28" own brand one for £125 http://direct.asda.com/Asda-28+-CRT-TV-2802UK-CRT-Television/000569105,default,pd.html .
Seems it's out of stock now. Even so, the JVC one is branded and includes a stand so a better deal I reckon.
The cheapest 19" LCD I found is this one at £215 http://direct.asda.com/Sovos-SVTV19D-19+-HD-Ready-Digital-DVD-Black-LCD-Television/000583553,default,pd.html

I do favour LCDs myself (although I am waiting for the right deal and my xmas bonus!) but this might appeal to someone...have seen comments on av forums about "idiots who prefer LCD tvs only care about what the TV looks like when it is switched off" (!) so I thought I'd post this deal for any big box telly addicts out there

Also, can't seem to upload the pic, if anubody can I will be most grateful x

Holy heck, you can still get CRT, well i never.
#4
Please say why if you are voting cold...I cannot find a cheaper branded CRT TV anywhere online. Don't just vote cold because you prefer LCDs.
#5
These are given away on freecycle if you are lucky. Also ebay is full of crt's that nobody can give away!!
#6
Its voted cold because the local recycling centers are full of them:roll:

I bought one of these for the mum in law about this price three years ago! That said, if you are not bothered about a flat screen this tv has prob one of the best crt pictures far better than a low cost lcd.
#8
Oh...ok then. Still, 5 years ago would have been a cracking deal...I must be a bit late!
Thanks for your replies though guys ;-)

Ok you win the who can find the cheapest CRT contest :)

I'm after a 32" Sony LCD, saw the threads on here for one at £314 and one at £340 but missed out :x so am hoping I can get one for around that price after Christmas, am keeping my fingers crossed
#12
Tis a decent price for someone who is after a larger screen and not bothered about a LCD!
#13
Good price for this TV, I bought the 32" JVC for about this price 8 months or so ago from Littlewoods. It's tried and tested technology. If they could build 42", 50" CRT's they would. One thing I didn't like about it is that the stand is a bit flimsy, but looks OK.
