Ohh this looks good. I had an earlier version of the Everio.. it was a good wee cam until it got stole at manchester airport! :(
My onlky problem with it was that it took aggggeeeeeeessssssss to upload videos onto my pc never mind burning them aswell....... so with this extra bit i imagine that would be much better so u can just brun everything straight onto dvd. Only thing is u wont be able to edit bits out before hand. I wish had that as I lost all my wedding videos and things when the cam got stole and i didnt get round to putting them on the pc since it would have taken so long

Good series of cameras, I have a different model but it's awesome :)

Just if you want to see a similar camera in action, it works well at gigs too - www.youtube.com/chris4laura - Is able to deal with sound well.

The videos are really good quality, of course after being compressed for and on Youtube it doesn't look as good, but the originals are fab :)

I would recommend one.

*edit* The cam came with editing software so that you can indeed edit the videos you have uploaded, before burning to DVD. Although I haven't quite got the burning to DVD thing quite right yet, I think the software is lacking in that dept.

Anyone know how many hours you can record to the 40Gb hard drive?

Depends on the video quality. On my 30 Gig, you can get something like over 15+ hours on lowest setting (might be more, I can't remember). At highest, something like 4 I'd expect. The info should be online somewhere.

It's also worth investing in another battery, as the one hour isn't enough when I'm filming - You can pick up a 4 hour one for about £30-40 online, and they work great!

By the looks of things, this is an HD camera. Correct me if I'm wrong of course. In which case, I'd say it's even better :)

i dont actually think this is FULL HD. it interpolates up to 1080p but only captures 1080i
