don't buy anything from Curry's. if something goes wrong. even under the warranty period. they refuses to take responsibility unless the product is unopened and still in its original package. This is written next to every till. have had very bad experienced. had my HP laptop broken due to some circuits issue ON VERY 3RD DAY. took three years as I continued battled. Though bought another one from apple and survived the arguments using constant e mails which never replied. and hours if phone calls to their customer service. SO CARE FULL

Actually it probably is a Polaroid or Blaupunkt in reality...
JVC TV's are also churned out of the same Vestel factory as those two....

I have had fantastic after sales service from Currys i am sure that there are horror stories about every retailer, odd thing is how could you possibly know something was wrong if the product was unopened smells fishyto me, also I was not aware Apple sold HP laptops

I had this TV few months ago, so if you want to watch the movies, good enough. But if you want to play the games, it's horrible. The menu and the options are really poor. Budget TV - budget price.

The digihome one is a better deal, only a few left on ebay but it's been relisted a few times. It's a smart TV with built in wifi http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm?itemId=161514601038

A Currys / Dixons sales assistant talked me out of buying a JVC TV a few weeks back, he said they were cheap generic TVs that were just sold under the once great, but now defunct, JVC brand name. They seemed to have a few JVC "Manager specials" (i.e. customer returned items) for sale.

They're actually made by Taiwanese company - AmTRAN Video Corporation, who also make Vizio TVs. They don't get good reviews.

With you mate, would never buy a expensive item of this company again, abysmal after sales.

Depends on the location and the customer service representative. if your in London dealing with some one that has not yet evolved then it is very hard :)

Do JVC make anything of worth as company these days other than camcorders and car stereos?

silly you. Apple sales only apples product. You are lucky that you had a good CS. My case is not off one. but they are very famous for bad CS. Check online. they were on watch dog too.
