Back down to this price again. The WV60 has also been reduced down to £51.99 - it's around £12 just for the small suction blade, so with the spray bottle and sachet too it's also a good price.

I have a Homebase near to me, so therefore that deal is better because I haven't got to wait for delivery. Amazon is better otherwise.

I agree, just buy a good quality window cleaners blade and cloth works just as good.

Why is it a waste? So many people quick to criticise products on this forum, so few willing to offer decent informed explanations.

Informed explanation indeed!

Cheers OP, ordered WV60. Should help in the winter with the condensation that builds up. Drives me mad having to mop the windows before leaving for work each morning. £51 is a brilliant price! 8)

I bought this item last time it was on special offer, as with most steam products I was expecting this too leak, get too hot or not maintain heat for long enough.

I have to say, Im really impressed and use this more than I thought I would.

Its fantastic for the windoes, the shower and I use it on the tiles in the bathroom.

I saw some negative reviews but in my fussy opinion, they are not justified for a product that works as good as this does.

Yeah sure, you can go and get a sponge and squeegee for a few quid but for those who have the cash lying around and wouldnt mind saving time doing these kinds of jobs, I think its well worth the cash.

I got one for my mum too and as she suffers from arthritis this has been a blessing for her.

I dont get the negative comments at all

Are you even sure what one of these is, because it certainly isn't a steam appliance, doesn't heat anything up or radiate it!!

It's a squeegee and vacuum cleaner for windows

I think people as saying it's a waste of money as you can buy a window squeegee and cloth for say £3 and it will do a very good job indeed however half of them may not of even used this product so can not give an informed decision.

And clearly apply a zero £ value on their time. I could cut my lawn with £3 scissors, MUCH cheaper than a £100 lawnmower...

It takes longer to put this thing on charge and constantly empty the water try, then keeping it dry enough so it doesn't go mouldy.

You also look like a prize pillock standing outside with the little engine whirring away as you slowly clean your windows. Then repeat as it can't lift that bit of dirt.

Meanwhile a normal person runs a rag / squeegee and gets faster and better results.

Reading people priasing this gadget so much is like reading similar glowing reviews for soda stream machines.

I have been tempted by this many times, I disagree what you are saying though. Is this not just a squeegee with a vac built in?, I assume that you draw this down the window just as you would a normal squeegee?, The only difference I can see with this is it sucks the water up as you draw it down the window, am I right or is there more to this?. The only time saved is the wiping the blade of water on a normal squeegee. Please advise if i am wrong on this, for £40 it seems like a fair bit of money just to save wiping your squeegee blade, as for the time saved, not sure you would save that much. I have looked at this many times and in no way am I being negative, just looking for a genuine reason it would be of real use.

Get some cat litter is some tubs along the bottom of the window. My daughters room used to suffer from condensation, but doesn't anymore after placing the tubs on the window sill.

Tried that but the smell of cat p_ss kept waking me up. The poor cat fell off the windowsill twice the one night whilst trying to use the litter.

The negative comments are oddly from those who haven't bought one. Funny old world innit?

Can also use dry rice, just make a little bundle out of a tea towel or muslin cloth
