Excellent deal for a good cable. Personally I think i'd vote for buying a few of these in one go and just replace if/when they break. Rather than spending £20 on just one supposedly "better quality" cable and being annoyed when it breaks after a year

Fantastic cable for a great price. I bought a 3 metre cable for my dad and was so impressed with the build quality and picture that I've just replaced all of my HDMI leads with these. Thanks for posting! Heat added.

looks good if only I didn't buy 3 hdmi cables last week

Looks like a misprice, so get in quick before they spot it - hopefully they'll honour all orders placed.
The 1m is £5.49 and the 3m is £7.49 so £1.49 for the 2m doesn't stack up (looks like it should be £6.49) (_;)

Seeing as these are the new spec, I'd have a guess at saying his old ones were an older spec.

Does anybody know of any devices that actually use the Ethernet over HDMI channel? I think it's a great idea but haven't seen it implemented yet.

You can think of HDMI 1.4 as the successor to 1.3. Specifically, it adds 4 new features to your HDMI connection:

1) Higher resolution capabilities (allowing for Ultra High Definition 4K x 2K which is about 6x the resolution of 1080p)
2) Support for 3D video at 1080p with compatible Blu-Ray Players, Set-top Boxes, PCs and TVs.
3) Audio Return channel allowing audio from an HDMI 1.4 TV to be passed back to the receiver though the HDMI cable rather than having to run a separate audio cable to the TV
4) Ethernet link channel allowing all of your HDMI 1.4 devices to connect to the Internet though an existing HDMI cable provided that just one of your 1.4 devices is connected to the Internet via Ethernet or WiFi.

Sorry, bit of help, wont a normal HDMI cable work for a 3D TV? or do you need to buy this HDMI cable for 3D to work? oO

nope, as were not designed to carry a 3D signal

......All High Speed with Ethernet HDMI cables will support 3D when connected to 3D devices. Check you have the correct cable, do you have High Speed HDMI cable or High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet? If so, great, you can view in 3D. If not, you will need to upgrade your cable, to a High Speed HDMI Cable as a minimum.

I don't care what site that's from it's just an outright lie. My 3D TV works fine with 1080p 3D via PS3 and/or my PC. With only HDMI 1.3.
The PS3 only has a HDMI 1.3 port so how do you reckon that does 3D? The only difference is that HDMI 1.3 can't do full uncompressed 7.1 sound AND 1080p 3D at the same time. You can still do dolby digital 5.1 with 1080p 3D at the same time though so not an issue for most.

Also - there are 2 kinds of HDMI 1.4. With and without ethernet. You DON'T need ethernet to use 3D, it's entirely seperate and has nothing at all do do with picture or sound.

in my experience a 1.4a is not the best option for a 3D TV as it does cause some input lag, its okay for films but for rhythm based games you should find a 1.4b

High Speed HDMI Cable
The High Speed HDMI cable is designed and tested to handle video resolutions of 1080p and beyond, including advanced display technologies such as 4K, 3D, and Deep Color. If you are using any of these technologies, or if you are connecting your 1080p display to a 1080p content source, such as a Blu-ray Disc player, this is the recommended cable.
