No they're not, they're two independant clothing companies which SportsDirect stock!

Airwalk is a registered trademark of Collective Licensing International.

Kangol, founded in Cleator, Cumbria, England in 1938 by Jaques Spreiregen produced hats for workers, golfers, and especially soldiers - they were the major beret suppliers to the armed forces during World War II.

Except in Japan, where it only owns the rights in relation to headwear. ;-)

Yes he (M. Ashley) owns Kangol and a load of other "names". He has f***ed the company's reputation of making top quality hats, which we used to stock. Done the same with Karrimor brand name by using it on rubbish wellies, waterproofs, boots, running jackets and poor quality rucksacks he sells in his stores.
