Ive been looking for a backpack with a detachable daypack for a month of travelling. I like that I can checkin the main part of the backpack and hang on to the daypack as hand luggage for my tablet, camera etc

I couldnt find an alternative delivered for cheaper other than the same backpack on ebay for £1 less - but Id rather use my £10 voucher from yesterday and have the comfort of being able to return to amazon

Twin compartment main bag. Detachable daysack
Top and side carry handles. Padded hip strap

Side and bottom front compression straps. 3 Years Warranty

Some negative reviews but 4star overall

I'm wary of these packs with detachable day sacks. Fine for outdoor pursuits, but for travelling, be alert to the danger that at a crowded street crossing, a moderately skilled thief could detach the day sack and make off with it. Best to pack in the main bag anything that's essential to your trip.

Not voting, because I've not heard of that brand, and I have no idea of the quality.

I am thinking to buy 1 for my 11 years old son, for his scout's activity, but I don't know which one to buy, 105L or 120L?

Does it have a frame/back system? It is suicide to carry more than ~40L without a comfy adjustable back system.

Nobody needs this. There is no trip that requires this much stuff. Pack smart, not heavy. Read up on the net about packing light. It's perfectly feasible to travel globally with just carry on luggage. As for the mum who is on about her 11yo with a 120l bag... Come on...

of the two bags i'd say the single unit 120 would be best if he needs it all the space, as i dont think he'd need the day pack and think that's designed more for people who are leaving the main thing in the room and need a small bag for sightseeing in the day
