Ty edited.
Did u notice the people on Amazon selling it are the same company as on Ebay??? but it's £30 cheaper and free p&p.

I was considering this clock for my Mum who has dementia. Unfortunately it seems very limited functionally as it does not understand months less than 31 days according to the Argos review for the same product:

"Was looking to buy this for someone with early stage dementia who struggles getting to appointments on the correct day.
No where, including Argos, could I find information as to what is automatic on this clock. Having bought one I can list it here:
Day (Mon-Sun) flip daily at midnight
Date (1-31) flip daily at midnight
Month (Jan-Dec) flip monthly at midnight on 31st day only.
Year (2009 etc) - set manually from inside the clock with supplied number tiles and plastic pins
The Month issue is the problem one as the clock has no concept of short months: every month is 31 days, so you have to manually adjust the clock foward on short months.
Not a huge issue for us but could be for some.
Shame this isn't made clear anywhere.

I would expect more from what is just a plastic clock at this high price"

There are other ones out there which do change fully automatically (and are much more expensive) but as I found out they make a heck of a noise when changing the day and time at midnight. As mine was for my Mum's room in her residential home this was hopeless as it would wake her up at midnight every night!

Weird...people say it's fiddly to setup maybe these people did it wrong, most seem to give 5/5 or 4/5 on all sites I've seen.
From an Amazon review 5/5 which states the opposite about the 30/31 day issue.
'This is just what I needed! I had been searching the High Street for a calendar clock for my Mother who is developing memory problems. No shop could help me except to suggest the Internet and the words 'flip calender'. It is brillient and should be recommended to Help the Aged and Social Services for others with memory difficulties. I would not recommend it be left in a bedroom as it is slightly noisy at midnight when the day changes over. However it sits happily on top of Mums TV and she loves it! It even knows which months have 30 days and which have 31. The Am/Pm function is a bonus as it helps with reorientation if you have nodded off! I give it 5 stars. We ALL need one! '

Unfortunately this seems to be a review for a different model... The Karlsson LARGE Retro Flip Calendar Wall Clock - Bubble http://www.amazon.co.uk/Karlsson-LARGE-Retro-Calendar-Clock/dp/B001L2XTB8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top which looks to be more 'functional'

The Karlsson Retro Mini Flip Calendar Wall Clock model does seem unfortunately to be limited in functionality and gets 1 star on Amazon with similar comments to my own experiences for these type of clocks (noisy). see
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Karlsson-Wall-Clock-Plastic-White/dp/B002GHBTY6/ref=sr_1_27?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1268392249&sr=1-27 and http://www.amazon.co.uk/Karlsson-Wall-Clock-Plastic-Chrome/dp/B002GHBTXM/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1268392233&sr=1-8

I have looked extensively at these types of clocks for my Mum and they all seems to have drawbacks... but they do look quite cool!

Thanks Goose. I looked at loads of these type of clocks and found one that had all the functions I needed, including auto changing year, month etc... it was just the noise factor that was the problem for me (or rather for my Mum). In the end I went for a large LCD display clock (no noise!), though unfortunately not so visually clear.

Looks pretty good to me.

I actually own one of these. Bought it from Habitat. I absolutely love it. Be aware there are two sizes too. The smaller one would suit relatively large dining rooms. I paid £59.99 for the smaller one so this seems good. Hope this helps.
