  Good for light use, although it does lack padding. Still, I've been up mountains and on the London underground with a laptop and DSLR in this for over a year and it still looks new...

  Can get a 17" laptop and a Lowepro pack in there with a bit of organisation. Mine's lasted me 4 years including hiking in various SE Asian countries. Weakest components are the elasticord on the zips and the zip 'pulls' which tend to unhook easily (but can be easily re-clipped)
  
  The pack itself is decent enough - not very waterproof but presumably if you were worried about that you'd be buying a more expensive pack!

  I'll second what Alexthekidd said. If you overfill it the stitching on the zips will tear. Had mine a year though and I am reasonably impressed. I would buy another.
