If they've ever sold a pair of these for 159.99 they should be jailed for robbery.
#2
159 of what?
#3
I'm sure these were never £159.99. Still a good price for a budget pair of runners.
#4
Never £159 for Karrimor trainers.
#5
cheap enough but no one has ever paid £159.99 for these
#6
Looks like most sizes out of stock online, well 10, 9.5 and 8 at least
#7
I think stating that they were £159.99 is gonna kill any chance of this going hot despite them being a good price.
#8
5 comments saying the same in the space of 1 minute

the truth we must be speaking

Remember karrimor is owned by sports direct, so doubt they ever sold a pair for£159.99

Karrimor name is now owned by Sportsdirect, these are now mass produced in China with no R&D

They hope people will be blinded by science with the description

TPU Hot Melt Seamless overlays
> Lateral and medial saddle system
> Clutch counter to heel
> Aegis microbe shield lining
> D3O cushioning technology
> TPU shank to arch
> Rear foot and forefoot Gel Cushioning technology
> Full length softer density ride line
> Karrimor logo

Which is virtually meaningless

Translation:

-They have a middle and a front that you can put your foot in.
-They have gel in them.
-They've got a logo.
-They also gave cushioning.
-They have a lining.

and so on.......

Oh Sulz what are you doing believing these bogus was / rrp prices :p
#13
I don't why these retailers show prices then drop to few quids that's really unreal and unbelievable.

D3O is motorbike armour - I have it in a couple of jackets.

Never considered the benefit of having it in shoes - if it's the same stuff - but it is designed to absorb impact so could be worth a punt.
#15
Another wild rrp stated by sports direct. Tempted to pick up for the price though as im doing wild warrior assault course in September so a cheap pair of footwear save ruining my asics running shoes

Not sure I'd like the thought of D30 in a shoe as it goes hard on impact so each time your heel hits is it would go hard & cause jarring up the leg

Running on "budget" shoes is never a good idea.

I wouldn't feel sorry for anyone posting a Sportsdirect deal....should be a blacklisted company, crap customer service, con internet ad ons & poor quality products with overstated RRP's from once decent brands now totally devalued by Sportsdirect ownership

I don't think that's entirely correct.

Anyway, quite a few reputable shoe brands are making use of it: http://www.d3o.com/markets/footwear/

These fake original prices need to be banned.

Its not "rrp", its a previous price - the says they only need to charge it one store for x amount of time and I'm sure that they have.

Yes and I think the one store rule should be changed. They should probably increase the timescale as well. I just find these sort of stores really annoying.

btw has anyone ever been in Sports direct and seen trainers at full price (over £100) before the price has been cut to shreds?

The only time you will see £100+ on a shoe price in Sportsdirect is if it is a real quality brand which they have not devalued by it's ownership
