Queue every one saying that Karrimor aren't the brand they used to be since Sports Direct took them over...
havent heard they took them over-anyway that would exsplain why the karrimor shoes i got from sports direct only lasted about 3 months and cost like £30-shouldnt there be some sort of guarantee with them to last at least 5 months or somethink
Sports Direct own and sell Karrimor, Dunlop, Slazenger, Carlton, Lonsdale, Kangol and Donnay brands amongst others. I think most say that the quality has noticeably gone down hill.

You can pick up walking shoes for under £20 but they're not decent. Personally I like to pay extra for ones that have Vibram soles, which is usually Merrell for me.
yeer i now buy merrel-not so cheap though

At least it's true - I had a pair of Karrimor Trainers/Shoes which at first felt ok, and then after 2 months of usage while I was on Holiday in Slovakia the shoes hurt my feet badly - so much so I had crazy blisters.

It was pretty awful, and it was the first time I deviated from my Merrell pair, never again. They are cheap for a reason, but as I've had my Merrells for 5 years now and they're still going strong, I'm going to stick with them.
As a lancashire resident who grew up in the shadow of the first Karrimor business in the late 50's and 60's it's sad to see the brand exploited by Sports Direct

Recently had some karrimor walking shoes that lasted less than 12 months

The soles just wore away leaving holes in the heal and main sole
The leather fell apart - not at the seams but just crumbled away !!

Quality is KarriPOOR

Sorry but voted COLD to prevent others from wasting their money on cheap goods
yeer dont blame the cold voters -i thourght these were better quality than the sports direct ones but obviously all as bad as each other as sports direct have taken them over
They look good and are probably OK for knocking about in the garden or for light usage, but don't depend on them lasting and being comfortable if you put them to the test. That's when you realise that you get what you pay for.
