Karrimor gets shouted down by some on this forum - but this seems a bargain. Thanks nicx.

Paid £22 a two weeks ago from amazon, i rate them,
Despite what some have said, I have found them comfortable and have been a lifesaver in this snowy weather.

Hi haggisheid, would you say these boots are oversized or undersized? I'm one of those sticklers for a 10.5 so am hoping one or the other will be about right. Many thanks.

as above any delivery costs

also with these is it better to go a size up or not?

looks a good deal thanks for posting

I've just received a pair I ordered from Amazon for £20. Seem pretty good to me. I ordered size 11, they are slightly on the large size, but theres enough room to wear some thick socks to keep your feet warm.

I have wide feet and i was a bit worried if they would fit, I ordered a size 7 which is what i normally have and they are a comfortable fit, not loose or tight, but snug.
Hope this helps.

Nice one OP. :)

Will these be available in store for the same price?

Thanks for reminding me that I have a pair of these in my wardrobe.

guess so

Ordered thse previously from Field and Trek at slightly more and they have had a good snowy workout recently. They are solid, grippy and comfortable amnd most improtantly they seem watertight aswell in a foot or so of snow

Highly recommended at this price. I would buy normal siaze or half size larger so you can have thick hiking socks for even more comfort
#19
Yep they are a little larget I am size 7.5 and size 7 fits the best with wool socks.

Cheap! Similar Karrimor are about £25-£30 in TK Maxx. I'd order a pair but I'm fussy with shoes and boots =[
#21
These boots are not waterproof - look elsewhere if that is your primary need.

Have you tried them? I have some £30 Tresspass boots that look identical to these, they don't state they're waterproof but over the few years I've had them, trekking in snow, puddles or rain they haven't once let water in!
#23
Thanks! Ordered a pair to replace my 4yr old worn out pair.
#24
are they instore as well?

Yes I have a pair and they were not waterproof in a heavy rain

Gutted, i bought the Amazon ones earlier in the week for £20 and have just been dispatched! grrr.
#27
Oredered a pair, cheers.

I have been looking for some of these lately. The Sports Direct website also has the Karrimor Mid 3. One of the main differences appears to be that the 2 has a waterproof lining whilst the 3 (priced at 30 quid) has a waterproof outer. The 2 looks like more of a lightweight dry weather boot. You pays your money I suppose.

Still voted hot, but may wait until the Mid 3 comes down in price again.
#29
Well my feet haven't got wet yet. I did give them a spray with some proofing spray when first got them but feet have been toasty and dry in a foot or so of snow. They take a while to dry out on the exteriror as they do have waterproof inner lining but still does the job. At this price a no brainer

PS From someone who does own a pair ;)

Yes, I've had a pair and can confirm, as someone else has, that they're not waterproof.

They're a budget boot at a buget price. Nothing wrong with that.
#33
I looked at these and spent a bit more and got some hi tec aucklands which are awesome. lets face it you buy this kind of footwear for the bad weather so they have to be up for the job or else when will you use them ? I bought mine from Tog 24 in GunWarf, Portsmouth for £24.99.
#34
My OH got some of these last winter and so far they have seen him through 2 skiing hols (fab grip), the bad weather last winter and so far this year and they are still intact
He sprayed his with waterproof spray and they have been fine, even in deep snow. I am tempted to order him another pair at that price!
#35
I've had a pair of these for a couple of years. Agreed that they're not fully waterproof although are much better after a good spraying of Nikwax. This is an excellent price. :)
#36
Hot, just bought a pair of size 10, the RRP sounds abit inflated, will be useful when I need something lighter than my Cat boots.

Silly that you cannot deliver them to a local store for collection and avoid the £3.99 delivery charge.

Looks like they've only got 8-10 now. Shame, probably would have tried an 11.

If you zoom in on the pic on the link, then it says just underneath the Karrimore logo "Waterproof" they look the same as the ones I've been wearing a year or so now and my socks haven't got wet yet!

Don't knock Karrimor....

I just climbed Mt Kilimanjaro and I wore/used a lot of their gear and it passed with flying colours. Highly recommend it actually.

I will point out I didn't use their boots though but still I own a lot of their clothing and equipment and it's awesome. Same goes for their running stuff, very very good.

Saw them and more karrimors on sale in store at the chancery lane branch - hot.
