not sure if my head is worth this much

lol, expensive but me and people i know have had cycling accidents and walked away with only broken bones, without a helmet it could have been a lot worse, therefore you cant put a price on safety, kask helmets are the best Ive had and well worth this price ! ;)

Agree. Given helmet safety requirements not sure if extra expense translates into more protection. Possibly pay more for comfort , features and branding . That said I wouldn't pay less than £80 for a helnet, even though it may only be for piece of mind. whats point in penny pinching if you're not going to be around to benefit

I'm not sure where the £80 figure comes from - there are some really good Specialized helmets for around £40 ...

Cold. I buy a helmet for safety first and several tests have proved that more expensive does not equal better protection. (assuming of course it's a known brand and carries the right proof of testing).

Now if you are buying because it's lighter, looks cool or has more vents because you take part in competitions then maybe it's worth it but can't see any other reason.

No one cares that you have 10 pounds helmet, this is cheapest price for it and thats why it should be hot, read review

This just illustrates why hukd can be pointless. People vote a can of coke hot simply because it is cheap but might only be reduced by 10p, yet something that is 50% cheaper than normal is voted cold ??? The DEAL should be voted for not the price !! Ive had about 6 different helmets starting with a £14 asda jobby which did the job but i looked like a village idiot. I now have a kask which is the best fit, lightest and looks acceptable. If a single person who actually knows ghat this is actually good deal makes it worth my time posting irrespective of the people who simply vote things cold for not being cheap!

Completely agree. I've had lots of different cycling helmets in my time, and the Kask is by far the best I've owned - both for fit and quality of manufacture. The Protone is a superb helmet, although I would be very cautious buying from ShopTo as they don't have great reviews online. Nevertheless, this is a great deal.
