A good price and much better than any free downloadable Anti-Virus software.

If you're a Barclays customer then you can get this for free as it's part of the 3 user Kaspersky Internet Security Suite that is available with your account.

Thanks... ordered

Am I right in thinking it's better to get the Internet security version instore?
#5
Good price for this highly rated anti virus.
#6
3 user license Kaspersky Internet Security was £14.98 from Amazon - the 2009 edition also allows you to upgrade to the 2010 edition for free.
#7
I was wondering how they can claim it is the 'next generation' when version 2010 was released at the beginning of this month?
#8
Having forked out several hundred pounds on your computer, why compromise your security penny pinching on software, to protect your privacy.
Like OP suggests go for Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 & then upgrade free to 2010 edition.

If you can get it at a reasonable price, also go for A-Squared AntiMalware.
It's amazing the amount of malware sites it catches, (as the name suggests).

Good price though for at least some form of security, so heat added.

This link goes to the older version of Kaspersky, version 7.0 :whistling:

Better to make sure you get the 2009 version..

Kaspersky v7 licenses also work in 2010, just download the updated version.

i used avg antivirus and my notebook ran realy slow when i downloaded malware bites and did a scan it found over 600 objects infected. uninstaled it put on kaspersky antivirus no more problems.

How easy is this to use? I've been a user of Trend Micro for a number of years and find this simple, effective and am not bombarded with technical info relating to what I should and shouldn't allow every minute.
Any feedback appreciated.

I noticed today that you can get the 3 User, 1 Year, Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 (not Anti-Virus alone but the whole lot) (Retail Boxed) edition in JTF Trade Warehouses for £4.98 (£5.73 with VAT)

As mentioned earlier you can then just upgrade to the 2009 or 2010 version (2009 has a better interface IMHO as the application control in 2010 has been simplified to the point of being useless)

Thats an awesome deal and better than the OEM version sold in most places...

Only the Barclays deal is better as far as I'm aware.

(I was looking in the Sheffield one btw but I assume all of them have it)
#21
I think this deal is expired? I get the message "The page or product you are looking for is no longer listed on our site. Please look in our catalogue for alternative products." :?

When I search for "Kapersky" it says not available.

Actually, that's mainly checking the reliability of their heuristic scans, they are testing the detection ability of antivirus software when using 3-month-old virus definitions.

Strange, I use AVG Free Edition and Malwarebytes never finds anything.

I am careful about which sites I visit.

Maybe not, but no Anti Virus is 100% safe, so we all take our chances to a greater or lesser degree.

I'd always opt for Avira over AVG any day though. Very easy to use.

worth considering.

Thanks, I am sure you are probably right, it's just a case of " better the devil " you know I guess.

I do like the way AVG scans incoming e mails as well.

Another thumbs up for Avira here.
Since removing AVG and installing Avira my pc boots much quicker.
I have Pest Patrol running too.
