Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 1 year 3 user licence. I saw this in my local The Works in Warwickshire. Its not on their website so I don't know if the offer is nationwide.

This was the small cardboard box version, and allows you to upgrade to their latest 2010 version. I have never seen Kaspersky going this cheap before, and certainly not for the retail boxed version.

The licence number should also work with the 2010 version btw :)

Thanks for the tip just reserved one in my local store they only have 5

Hells bells! I paid £20 for the 2010 version from PC World last month. Should have waited as I still have 51 days left on 2009 subscription. Upgrade from 2009 to 2010 online is no problem either.
#4
Is this just an upgrade?

Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, 1 year, 3 user in Costco for ~£16.
#5
This is and has been free for a while now - if you bank with Barclays

No, this was the full version and allows you to upgrade to the 2010 version if you want.

Did you call your local store and they agreed this, as they dont appear to sell/ reserve it online?
#8
There were a few copies in the Arndale Works on saturday if that's any use.
#9
Can't seem to find this online either? ANy help people?
#10

Agree with that. Tried quite a few and Kaspersky has been streets ahead of the rest since I started using it this year.

Great deal if you can get it, but lots of decent prices available elsewhere anyway. well worth paying for IMO.

i bought one of these on Tuesday from The Works in Burton on Trent.
Never realised it was a bargain!
They had about 30 stacked outsside the door. Only saw it on the way out.

Very good price - heat added. I think it's worth mentioning that Barclays offer this for free if you bank online with them: CLICKY

Only "problem" is that it probalby wont' let you upgrade to 2011 version, whcih I think we can expect around June/July time. So buy if you are planning to use it NOW, rather than when you current version runs out.
#16
Try Avira free edition......

I suppose if you wanna buy a ***** AV then this is hot.
.
#17
Why pay for AV/firewall software when are are plenty of free alternatives that are just as good/better?

I use MSE + Comodo

would of thought you could un install your current version load up the 2011 trial and activate with your original still valid key.
#19
It's FREE if you're running a legit copy of Windows ;)

I've had lots of experience with Kaspersky and their upgrade policy is very relaxed. You'd be able to update easily from version to version. Whoever said use a free version is nuts.. they''re free for a reason!! Personally I prefer to use ESET but this comes a close second.

Hoted insanely hot as I just bought a 3 licence retail edition for £26! (Fortunately they weren't for me).

I will agree with that.

For years I have been using a mixture of AVG free antivirus (On many machines), Adaware free, Spybot search and destroy, and Malwarebytes.

Never have I had any sort of major problems, I online bank, I use my credit cards about 5 times a day.

With so many good free programs I would just never consider paying for this kinda stuff, its not about the money either, I just think it would be pointless.

I am not trying to take away from the deal, as its a good price if this is what you want.

I've got an old laptop and since on of the AVG updates its grinding it to a halt. Once I've reinstalled Windows its gone. Sad really as it used to be good.

totally

free for a reason, the reason is, cos its kack.

do yourselves a favour and pay for a security system, support the companies researching into how to cure and stop internet attacks.

having said that, the microsoft one is decent.
Avira-kack
AVG-AWFUL
Avast!-kack.

why do they all begin with A?
hmmm

thanks for the link to the free Microsoft Security Software I am thnking of installing that when my current security ( Trend) ends although had the hotdeal for Kapersky not been posted I would not have known about the Microsoft Free Software so thankyou I will add heat to your posting as this is still a good deal.

Microsoft Security Essentials is not bad either - simple, but it stays out of your way - plus it is free.

if only this was a decent program used it previously didn't like it..

in my experience the best a/v is eset expensive but works like a charm

Been using Kaspersky for years ,it slows my computer down. I now use panda cloud and zonealarm pro.
But good price for people who like it.
#31
Good Deal.

Also, if you are a Barclays Internet Banking Customer, you can get it for free ( 3 users commercial licence). I have successfully downloaded it and installed it on 3 different PC's.
#32

Excellent price.

Already got V2009 installed on my PC but the licence has just expired.
Popped into The Works to get a copy, entered the licence code and it worked, I'm secure for another year.
Might be worth getting 2 so I can renew again next year....

:santa:Picked up one from my local The Works store at £7.99.
I run Windows 7 on 3 devices and initially installed the KIS 2009 which prompted multiple error. Then uninstalled and downloaded the KIS 2010 trial version and when prompted, entered the serial number from the KIS 2009 CD, presto, all was good. Excellent find, thanks very much
#37
When subscription expires does program stop working, like Norton? Or can you continue using firewall and just not receive updates?
#38
Just what I needed as renewal now due. Plenty of stock in St Austell yesterday.
#39
i got 4 of these from the works in wakefield last weekend in prep for end of march when my current sub runs out

2 of them tho are for a mate - who asked me to grab him 2 at that price :)
