I have been using Kaspersky for the past couple of years... Highly recommended..

Even if your licence is not due for months you just use the new key when required, there seems to be no time limit when you use, I have used kaspersky for 4 years now, I buy a copy when its on offer and renew the old program using the key as and when required, and as stated you can download the latest program, I am now on Kaspersky 10 and think it's better than 9.

If you're ordering other stuff at the same time and can get your order over £30 (as I did last week :-D) then you can get this for half-price! That is, £7.25

My parents have KIS via Barclays but it's due to expire next month. Can I ask how easy and how much it is to renew the Barclays offer? I'm wondering if I should just order this for them or renew through Barclays.

Unless I'm reading it wrongly, they come out on par with each other according to this
http://www.av-comparatives.org/comparativesreviews/main-tests

Infact, if anything, NOD has the edge marginally.

TBH, I use Avast, which is free and comes quite close in the results.

Isn't Kaspersky supposed to be well dodgy?
I use AVG & Avira together, both free, both mint!

haha who told you this? kaspersky fan? :-D
nod have strongest heuristic  its more suitable for low-power pcs.
do you know why kaspersky hold so many viruses record in their database?coz Eugene wrote them by himself. ;-)

2. I lol hard at you using 2 AV programs together. Just asking for grief

AVG is supposed to be the worst antivirus ever and I would seriously advise not to use two together as you may encounter problems!

"Kaspersky supposed to be well dodgy?" Hardly! I think you are confusing it with Norton or its close rival in the dodgy arena stakes, McAfee

If you can use this in 3 desktops but install them let's say 6months apart, does it mean that you only get 6 months on the second one?

I currently have a 6 months which is about to expire in my laptop but the desktop still has almost 5 months left.

Microsoft's free antivirus is more than adequate.

when you open your online bank account look under security and click on kaspersky renew and you will get a new code sent to you in an email,
then you will need to open kaspersky and go to activation then renew key.
you do not pay anything for this its free.

this is for barclays online account holders.

Damn i just bought this for £17 from an auction site.

Never mind.

I used NOD32 for many years but have been using Kaspersky for the last couple and KIS is far better featured and the best thing is it's a fraction of the price.

I'm not sure where you got this info from, but it's not true. I use the three PC one year license, on my GF's laptop, my parents laptop and mine. All three were activated on different dates, and all three expire on different dates.

When installed each license will tell you how many days remain on the license.

I've also upgraded two of the laptops to the 2010 version using the same licenses. You just get the balance of your license transferred to the new version from 2009.

Is it worth upgrading from 2009? Absolutely. 2010, IMO has a better interface, seems quicker at updating, and seems to be so much more slicker. upgrades can be done for free, by downloading the install package from the Kaspersky website.
#30
Well I was with Shuttsies on this one. I've used the 3 licenses my mother obtained and as soon as you use the 1st then that's effectively the 3 activated. The remaining 2 run from the same date, irrespective of when you use them. So what you've experiences is rather puzzling.

You really are what ruins this site. You remind me of why I rarely post anything, it's just not worth it.

In fact I don't think I'll bother anymore.

Okkkkkkk, once you have picked up your toys from the floor, maybe you could contribute your wisdom to the site  and tell us how you achieved over riding the expiry date of one KAV key.

I've used this about 3 times so that's 9 installs. always exactly one year.
