This deal is for 5 PC's and as most people know you can upgrade to 2011 once installed for no extra cost. The Works in my area had 2 (which I took for myself and my Mam) but they also had lots of 3 user editions for the same price.

A mega deal when you think it's £1.20 per computer protected.

Please feel free to start the same old argument of "it's free at Barclays" and "AVG is much better" blah, blah, blah :) Instore only!

Yes it is in The Works but for some reason HUKD has linked to some other website. I didn't enter a web address because it is instore only

I'm just on my last pack of 3-user license when this was on offer a year or two ago. Stocked up then and will stock up again if my local has any!

Thanks for the post!

I could never find any at my local works store.

Good price though.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that its free with Barclays. Can never get away from that comment! hah.

Thanks for the h/u, will have a look in my local.

Download latest version from website and then enter product key is normally the way it works.
Or install using CD and may check for latest version?

Either way a cracking deal. Thanks OP

cheers guys... currently got 10 installed on my 3 via barclays but got a 4th laptop in the house as well now so im assuming the serial key would work from 10 to 11 as well?
#11
All you have to do is download the 2011 Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) From http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/kis_latest_versions

Then use the CD-Key in the box from the 2009 version (You don't need the disc in the box) to activate it.

You install the 2009 version using the product key included in the box, then go to http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/productupdates to download the 2011 upgrade.

Seen in my local a few weeks ago they had Anti-virus 2009 3pc for £3.99.

My works never has any of these, cracking deal if you can get it.

I'm currently on 2011 with a 2009 key, just download 2011 and use 2009 key its fine...

Can you buy 5 of these and use one product key each year for the next 5 years?

Reviews pretty good but not as good as the leader of the pack for the past two years - Norton Internet Security. Reviews say that it's not as capable at finding viruses as the best and because it has a lot of features it's only really for the "technically minded". Given the amount of online fraud now a days you can never be too careful. I would always recommend buying the best anti virus possible. You never know how much time and money it could save you.

yes, for 1 user only. This is for 5 users.
#25
Even though MSE has a few misssing features compared to NIS, it's still a very good bit of software. And it's free so that another plus. I have NIS 2010 and on a moderately modern system it works very well. With modern hardware being more powerful it's also overcome it's reputation as being a resource hog.

Thanks, will check my local store.

grear cheers for that did not know you could upgrade so just did it from 2009 to 2011 - dead easy worked a treat - well happy

True, but many people only have one PC, also my local Works never has this in stock despite me checking regularly. Just thought it might be useful for some.

It's what I'd planned to do when I bought my 5 user copies in summer 2010 from The Works :D

I also posted 8 months ago, so will check my local as I have 125 days left.

I don't think so. Once one key is activated they all become live. I got the three user deal from the works & i only needed a two user, when i put the third on a mates pc a couple of weeks later, it had the same number of days left as the first two. I was hoping the same thing.
Hope i'm wrong!

For those of you that are planning a visit to the Works today make sure to ask the assisitant if they have any before you leave because our store hid them quite well surrounded by a large pile of books. The Works has got to be the most untidy store on the High St

Good deal if you need AV
#38
Those suggesting norton is better than this, thanks for the LOL's

Anyway, good deal for what is the second best AV suite (I use kaspersky because its so cheap). ESET NOD32 is considered the best AV and their suite is pretty good too.

I do agree with the comment that this is really for the technically minded. The settings can be difficult to manage.

For those that want a free security suite, i'd use Microsoft Security Essentials. (or AVAST)
MSE can remove some stuff that even these big players cant, or couldn't when I last tested it, but it is a tad basic.

NOD32/ESET used to be the best, but if you look at more recent software you'll find that's definitely no longer the case. I'm torn between NIS and KIS. Currently running KIS 2011 trial after ESET expired. Not sure which route to take. The less false positives the better and the ability to actually stop it removing what it 'thinks' is a threat would be a welcome facility. Any comments on that?
