On July 1st the new 2011 version came out - you can download the 2011 version from kapersky's website and use the CD Key from the above 2010 version from play to get the latest version :)

I've been doing this with the 2009 KIS that was on sale in "The Works" for £7.99 a few months ago (Bought 3 packs to last me 3 yrs!)

Kaspersky Migration Policy
"KIS 2011 migration terms"

A valid existing license is required in order to successfully migrate to the latest version. The original validity period of the current license is retained and is not affected by the migration process. If you have a valid license for products:

KIS 2010, KIS 2009, KIS 7.0 – You can use your current activation code to migrate to KIS 2011

In a nutshell - use 2008, 2009 or 2010 to upgrade to 2011

Brought 2009 and upgraded to 2010, But now that my activation code has been used on the 2010 version can i still upgrade to the 2011 version??

My version was a 1 user license so i dnt want to uninstall 2010 to find out i cant migrate accross as it will be recognised as a 2nd user.

You could get trial versions and try which one you like best. (Or get a free version Avast, AVG, Avira, etc.)

There will never be any software which protects you 100% from Hackers, no matter what they say when they try to get your money :).

I curently have McAfee on a Vista PC (which came with it) but machine seems very slow, numerous McAfee updates and it is due for renewal

Why would anyone who runs a genuine version of Windows not use Microsoft Security Essentials? I've been happily using it for a few months now with no issues.
