not everyone has got a barclays account. This is the cheapest I've seen this product. The best security program available. Is mighty pfft cos I jst received from amazon yesterday bought for my company laptop for what I did think was a gd price at £22 :(
hot deal
#11
FFS not everyone has a barclays account and antivirus you pay for is hands down better than ANY free antivirus available. So please dont vote cold for these reasons. This is a brilliant deal. Thanks OP.
#12
Is there a 2011 version out?
#13
yes but its double the price virtually and not much better, whats OP mean?

Isn't it a free upgrade to the 2011 version? You always used to be able to buy an older version and upgrade online to the current version for free.
#19
dont know to be honest! Probably though

You can upgrade free to the 2011 version when you buy 2010 version.see here http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/upgrade
download & install this http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/internet_security_trial Then put your key in it.
Voted hot.

just tried the upgrade and works (I used a 2010 key and it works for the 2011 version)

I know is it good anti virus,
but how is it compare to mcafee
I have it from o2 for free and is ok, but I didn't check what is the best or really good just right now.
I'm considering bt infinity and I will need more copies of anti virus for me (I have up to 5 on o2 now)

This is arguable. A recent PCPRO grouptest had Kaspersky BELOW avg free on detection rates. That said, kaspersky still put in a decent result and I have used it for a few years now, so my comment here is not from a "you can get it for free!" standpoint.

Heat added from me as it does look a good deal (bear in mind this is a full security suite unlike avg or avira) and I would purchase Kaspersky again if my 3 pc licences were expiring soon

Mcafee came out pretty horrendous in the latest grouptest.

Norton came out well fwiw.

Just to point out I didn't vote cold I was merely pointing out that you can get it free through Barclays for anyone who does have an account and isn't aware of this.
I haven't voted either way, I agree it's not a bad price.

Its an excellent price! Vote it hot!

Can you use on business computers because barclays say you shouldn't.

GOOD DEAL ORDERED MINE CHEERS MR T .. :3
#31
MSE is every bit as good and - yes - it is FREE!
#32
Does anyone know how this performs on a netbook and if it's not much of a resource hog like Norton? Also, how do you go about getting it free from barclays? Thanks.
#33
I use MS Windows Defender, it is free for all Windows users and has stopped some nasties from entering my pc.... why do some people think they have to pay for protection? Microsoft are offering it for free and it works.....
#34
AVG Free
Pc Tools Firewall Free

Fank Yu and Gdnite
#35
Voted cold, Microsoft Security Essentials is excellent and free!
#36
Amazon have sold out now. There's still traders on there with it for pretty much the same money though, so I've not expired this, but just a heads up to those who don't like buying off traders.

Kaspersky AV is used by Clearswift appliances - MIMESweeper mail appliances in particular.
Small businesses should be OK with their IS suite, although as with all AV, just one security product is never enough...

i get mcafee free with o2 but i stopped using it after both my pc's got infected because of the poor protection.
kaspersky is the best i've used but i did find 2010 version slowed my pc down so hopefully they've sorted this out on the 2011 release
#39
you only get what you pay for and if its free (well that says it all) and for anyone who thinks norton are good just google leaktest and run it if it penetrates the firwall which norton did then its a bag of **** ....kaspersky didnt let it pass the firewall by the way
#40
would an unused 2009 key work for the 2011 version?? I haven't got around to installing the one I got from The Works last year!
