On Directors Cut, Kate revisits a selection of tracks from her albums, The Sensual World and The Red Shoes, a process that presents a fascinating portrait of an artist in a constant state of evolution. She has re-recorded some elements whilst keeping the best musical performances of each song – making it something of a director’s cut but in sound, not vision. A new version of "Deeper Understanding" will be released as a single in April. Although written some twenty years ago, the song may be more relevant today than ever…

I remember being really disappointed in the Sensual World and Red Shoes I just didn't like at all. Sounds like Kate wasn't too happy with them either hence the reworking of both.

I was a bit disappointed too back in 1989? I was expecting more. But I am a bit revisionist about it all now. Some of the tracks were classics from this album.

Think I'll be going for the single disk with just the reworked tracks for £8.93, rather than the £17.99 deluxe edition with Disc 2 - Sensual World, and Disc 3 - The Red Shoes (Remastered).

I will get the deluxe edition though as it's still Kate Bush and she can do no wrong.

Got the majority of her recordings so will have to get this as well......
Still listen to all her albums.

The track, "Hounds of Love" is still my most listened to song. Absolutely fantastic!
:D
