My son will be 11 next May, just wondering whether to get one of these and store it away but think it may be too small for his age group ???
#16
It does look great fun, would still prefer a chopper though

They must be peddling faster than Chris Hoy to create that much noise!

Moto-cross as in Motor (Motocross is a form of motorcycle sport (source Wikipedia)). So where is the motor. Typical tesco, contravening the trade description act again, and getting away with it.

For gawds sake - pull your head in!!

I think anyone with an ounce of the common stuff will realise they mean motocross style as its obviously a bicycle - hardly a crime!

I ordered one of these a couple of days ago (the 16in) but have since had second thoughts as it doesn't look like the seat is adjustable and knowing how quickly kids grow!!
Anybody know if it is adjustable?
#22
Fantastic find! Shame my son doesn't like riding a bike :(

Came at 8.30 this morning,Spent half an hour building it up, Lovely looking bike, the kind of thing kids under ten will go mad for,If you dont know too much about them the instuctions are a bit **** and the gears need adjusting so best to get someone who knows what they are doing to build it and put plenty of grease in the stem before fitting bars,

Grrrrr, ordered one for my nephew at 8.40 yesterday morning, then i ordered another for my other nephew 9.30. Second order turned up today, first order: cancelled and refunded ??!?!?? Just spoke to tesco direct and they are out of stock (and out of order in my opinion)
#33
I ordered one for my son, but it was canceled today...I'm gutted (for us both)
#34
Who else has ordered one and had it cancelled?
I ordered last night, had the money taken from my card and now they say they can't supply it and also have no legal right to supply it due to this statement:-
". Availability
We try to ensure that we always stock the full product range. If an item is out of stock it will be labelled out of stock on the Tesco Direct Site. If you order from the Tesco Direct Catalogue by phone or in-store you will be told if the item is in stock. If for any other reason beyond our reasonable control we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be liable to you except to ensure that you are not charged for that item"
If you had an order accepted after 10pm last night can you please post and let me know when you placed the order as it will help a lot!
Thanks

i ordered 1 yesterday morning and just had phone call 2 say they dont have any so am gutted as this was the best bike and price iv seen for my son.
on the plus side though i used quidco, the offer code and a tesco club card points voucher so the cost of the bike 2 me was only about £40 but they have refunded £70 back into my account.

I've just sent them an e-mail explaining my dis-pleasure at their poor level of customer service. If they are showing the item as in stock, and they are allocated stock by their supplier, their system (Tesco') should only allow a certain amount to be sold before it shows as out of stock. It says "any other reason beyond our reasonable control we are unable to supply " etc. This was in their control as they knew what allocation they had and they over sold it.
#37
I also got that dreaded telephone call today. After getting nowhere with the customer services agent I asked to speak to a manager. I voiced my anger and have been promised that when the bike comes back in stock, (which he guarenteed me before Christmas), that I would get it at the sale price. i have his name and direct dial number. I have also been told that I will be contacted via mail when they arrive back in stock. Hope this is something that everyone can do. Good Luck

My wife took telephone call from Tesco direct this afternoon about my order for this, they would not discuss with her at all, data protection blah, blah, blah, got in from work to receive email processing a refund WITH NO EXPLANATION WHATSOEVER.
As this was for Xmas, needless to say i have fired off a very snotty email outlining my displeasure.
P*S*POOR if you ask me.

I have had several instances over the years of internet retailers not supplying goods that are showing in stock, it's not difficult to update stock levels when orders are placed online, these retailers should be hauled over the coals for poor service like this!
#39
Surely the statement "If for any other reason beyond our reasonable control we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be liable to you" actually means they should supply this item at the agreed price?
They told me that they had allocated stock to them by the supplier. Therefore they (at Tesco's) knew how many they could sell, therefore it was completely within their control to supply the item, or am I missing something?

I said practically the same thing in the nasty e.mail I sent back to them and said i wanted an explanation as to why this was allowed to happen and what they are going to do about it. Not holding my breath on them replying but if they do I will post it on here.
