Top of the range 55" LCD, review are not as good as the 2013 models, but still a cracking price. JL are selling it for £1400.

The 55" KDL55W955BBU is part of W95 series: the best full HD LED televisions Sony makes. Featuring state-of-the-art technology (including 3D capability) and cutting-edge Smart functions. X-Reality PRO is one such example of the innovative technology used here. By analyzing the picture, colours and details are brought to life in stunning clarity. X-tended Dynamic Range also means that greater degrees of brightness are achieved, as well as richer tones of black. The Triluminos display offers a greater array of colours for a startling depiction close to reality. Such picture quality is preserved in spite of dynamic on-screen movement, due to Motionflow XR400 which prevents distortion occurring. Thanks to its wedge construction, not only does it look good but it also provides room for the Long Duct Speaker, which gives much more weight to mid and low frequencies. Integrated Wi-Fi means you can browse and stream web content from various services including the Sony Entertainment Network, with is large catalogue of music and video content. Skype and Tweet view add a social dimension to the Smart functionality. Both allow you to interact with others at the same time as viewing content. Read tweets gliding across the screen and video chat using the included camera. Screen mirroring is also possible with One-Touch. Simply touch the remote to you NFC-compatible phone or tablet to wirelessly project onto the TV screen, for striking HD rendering of your photos and videos. With the One-Flick remote, it's easy to browse content too. Just swipe across the touchpad for an intuitive ease-of-use.

Link doesn't work.
Link works. super. 12 month warranty... on a referb TV.... Thoughts?
I can only think the link doesnt work when somebody adds it to the basket, and therfore it becomes out of stock. I got a 46" 2 weeks ago and it was new. I would go for it if I needed a 55"/
Recent updates have been made to this set which improves picture quality (apparently) for anyone comparing it to the W905
I read this review, and i decided against link

Black levels not good and also backlight uniformity issues

"There’s just no sugarcoating this: the KDL-55W955B is the worst-performing Sony Bravia flagship HDTV we’ve reviewed in terms of picture quality"

Hot if still available, can't get link to work though
OOS. Expired
Purchased one of these at 4:30am, it first became available at 2 am midnight then right when I was at checkout the site went under maintenance, at 4:30 the site was back up and after I purchased one there were still more available.

I do hope mine arrives in mint condition as I do not want to go through the hassle of returning it.

Any ideas if you can still enter the PS4 competition on a refurbished TV? Also I may try emailing Sony later to ask if I would be given the free sub woofer or sound bar they have advertised on their site.
Any feedback on conditon/performance? Stock available again now.

I purchased a 46' a few weeks ago. The box had been opened but the TV and remotes were unused. Was a bargain.
