In my opinion the perfect balance of quality and style.

I bought a set of these and can thoroughly recommend.

Personally I wouldn't care about the damaged packaging as having enjoyed these speakers I can tell you that I have no intention of ever selling on!

AV Forum write up from another happy customer:

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?s=4e4eceedc4cf5e8d1c761e14bb4bc6bc&t=711684

If you are looking at pretty high end audio system for your home then I would recommend these. I have also paired these up with an Onkyo 607. Fantastic and can be picked up for just over £300. Plenty of higher specs out there but this really was a fantastic industry leading AV receiver on release (formerly the 606) and the newer models just add more functionality to an already abundant bit of kit!

One word of warning, the stands for the speakers cost £130 a pair! All worth it to get the perfect setup though. Watching movies and listening to music (2 of my passions, music in particular) never sounded so great!

Audiophiles, enjoy!

Yes very impressive speakers, Richersounds do for them for the same price without the damaged boxes - although they are referernced K2 where as these are SE. Cant see any difference though however i am no speaker expert.

Not quite. I think the site is trying it on a bit. They are the K2 SW & 3001 Sat Speakers. Good spot though.

It's like anything I guess, poeple ned to have a read of the reviews and I'd suggest people go have a listen and make their own choice. Just all depends on your own ear, taste and wallet.

Good find though and yeah agree on the Richer Sounds comment. Likewise All depends on how keen the listener is (or whether their brain cons them into thinking one is more high end due to the price tag and no doubt over zealous sales patter!).

Each tot heir own eh! Thanks.

Subwoofer is much better on the SE and the SE package RRP is £1299 vs £999 for the K2 package.

Also the SE's (new and undamaged) were £699 on Digital Direct recently, and last time I checked the K2's were £460ish on Play.

Still, brilliant speakers especially for this kind of money!

If that was the 3005SE then that would have been an amazing price. Just checked cant see them on the site anymore. I'd be surprised if they were the SE? Maybe they were clearance stock of the 3005.2 originals? Anyways take your word for it and gutted I missed out on that price.

Thanks for info.

Shame that people are voting this cold. Seriously is a good price for what is just damage to some cardboard surrounding some of the best speakers available people. All good fun though eh.

I can vouch for the speakers....they are awesome......sound is amazing

"Model: KHT3005SE":whistling: But they are the silver ones, which can usually be had cheaper than the blacks anyway.

Haha good shout, should probably learn to read eh!

Play missing out by not putting SE in the product title!

Despite everything said above, this shouldn't be below zero as it is currently.........come on cold voters lets see where you can find the 3005SE's in black this cheap and available now.....

wouldnt it depend on the damage on the box? it may be impact damage, where they have been dropped, could cause niternal issues with speakers/sub

Yeah I don't disagree with that statement. Always an element of risk with any damage to product or packaging, you'd have to read to see if the returns policy remains valid (I'm sure it would from a reputable retailer as it isn't a refurbished item).

If I wanted a set and didnt want to pay full whack I'd take a punt and return if the damage looked hefty or compromising the products condition. I very much doubt it would though as these are SERIOUSLY packed! I think they would survive a nuclear winter in the original packaging!
