What Hi Fi 5 Stars Award
Review:

"This has been a favourite system of ours for years, and we can understand why KEF might have thought the '3005SE could remain so at £1200...

This system's biggest strength is its 3005 satellites, and specifically, the Uni-Q driver that resides in the centre of each one.

Stunning dispersion
It's this driver that creates the system's stunning dispersion, ensuring each speaker blends seamlessly with the next, regardless of room size or how close you're sitting to the speakers.

If this makes it sound as though the delivery might be a touch on the vague side, perish the thought. The centre speaker is a little bigger than the rest of the satellites, and it uses a pair of extra drivers to increase the clarity and directness of its midrange.

What this means is that, if you play an action scene, you get spot-on ambient noise and surround effects that are steered seamlessly around the room, but without losing any of the dialogue.

A seamless surround field combined with a direct and focused centre channel; deep, refined, weighty and powerful sound will fill even large rooms"

superb av speakers...bought these about 3 years ago when they hadnt been out long and got them for £599 from sevenoaks sound and vision...superb sound quality...my pc's logitech 540's are laughably bad in comparison...match these with a decent av amp...these are perfect with an onkyo amp (have the onkyo 605, but the new onkyo 609 is the one to get to power these)....remember these are av speakers rather than pure hifi speakers (they are brill for music but there are better hifi speakers out there) but to get better hifi speakers youd have to spend alot more and theyd be alot bigger

pixmania? - id avoid

Pixmania arent too bad..iv ordered a few things from them and never had a problem. I do however only use my credit card on purchases that cost alot just incase.

Pixmania are not an authorised Kef UK retailer and they also have a nasty habit of selling European models. Either way you are not covered by Kef UK under warranty, any problems will have to be dealt with by Pixmania which is enough reason to give this one a wide berth.

Also it's out of stock.

Pixmania are owed by the Dixons group so any problems shouldnt take too long to sort out. As for out of stock yes it is now :p

Out of stock = waste of time.

"This price by pixmania must surely mean this is a no brainer" Like many of the DSG group offers that are too good to be true...THEY ARE as you cannot buy 'em.

Pixmania probably have more bad press and poor customer service than any other company advertised on here. Regardless of who owns them you are NOT covered by UK law buying from Pixmania and as is rightly pointed out they are not a Kef authorised UK dealer so this is as cold as you coudl possibly get......

Get your coats guys it is gonna be a bad night...brrrrrrrr :(
