I keep saying I won't post another RS deal but this is simply too good to be missed.

I bought a set of genuine KEF stands for a friend for these speakers a few months ago and 1 pair cost £120 - that's £240 of stands in itself.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the design but all the magazines and the owners seem to love these and I think this is the cheapest price at the moment.

TrustedReviews says...

The KHT2005.3's performance is among the best we've heard from a sub/sat system at this price, delivering the kind of confident and sophisticated sound quality that many people wouldn't expect from such compact satellites. The sub does a great job too, offering deep bass that works in perfect harmony with the other channels, and KEF yet again displays its knack for eye-catching design with a glorious egg shaped design and sumptuous finish. So if you want an approachable and affordable speaker package but don't want to compromise on performance, then the KHT2005.3 is an ideal choice.

WHY vote it COLD if they've been lower than this 2 years ago??? unless you can post a deal for a time machine for someone who wants to buy them now.

Is it me or does 'I Robot' come to mind?

also, I seem to remember that the speaker wire has to be purchased separately.

(I guess thas to stop peeps moaning that the wire isn't long enough as they seem to with EVERY speaker system that is offered).:)

But I like to route my rears twice around Canterbury Cathedral then back into my house; I really need long wires

nope

How many stands are included? 1 or 2 pairs? The description says "with free KEF HTS2001.2 speaker stands worth £100", which would imply only 1 pair (£99.95 from RS).
#17
Yep I would imagine stands for all speakers would be a lot more than £100

I have the earlier version of these, the 2005.1 eggs with Kef PSW 2010 sub. After about 4 years the rubber coating on the eggs started to dissolve into a sticky gluelike substance. Had to take some nail varnish remover to them. The sound from them is excellent for such a small speaker. The sub was not so great. It had a design flaw which led to the capacitors burning out (see avforums for a thread on the faulty psw2010). Hopefully these issues have now been resolved, but I won't be going with Kef for my next subwoofer.

Should be 4 stands given they're pretty cheap http://www.quantumelectronics.co.uk/acatalog/kef_hts2001_stand.html
